    Yep winner winner chicken dinner. All the usual spots just have some light surface rust. You can see why they rusted but in this case the car has remained dry! You've done very well so far.

    Agree with Mark, although those thinking they can restore some of the rough examples to the level of the 60k cars and still come out ahead are probably living in a delusional state. No harm in that, but they will soon find out the costs of doing a restoration properly .

    John it would be super expensive to ship an N42 head from Australia to California when you can probably find an N42 in the US much cheaper.

    Anything can be repaired, I was looking at a really rough wheel on Yahoo! Auctions a while ago. It was a period correct "Mach" wheel in need of restoration. I found this place in Melbourne. Long story short, but it looks like the 1 I was repairing has been made worse than better. As I say long story, so looking for something that is a better starting position.

    No sadly I sold them both to someone who needed them desperately before getting his car painted. I may be able to get more of these however. Someone in Europe is having copies made. I may try and bring a few in, in the not too distant future.
