Scoota G Posted August 8, 2014 Author Posted August 8, 2014 So is it Lucinda for fun and Oscar for originality ? You got it Peter. Changing the BAD260 plates over and have already sold the engine to another club member . It just feels like the right direction to head in. Not sure if i will do steel rims or the alloys. Quote
luvemfast Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 What about Oscars colour scheme? What is the original colour? Quote
Scoota G Posted August 8, 2014 Author Posted August 8, 2014 What about Oscars colour scheme? What is the original colour? The color scheme will be factory. Engine bay the same as the body which is a Metallic Green. Not sure on the code but just looking for that original feel. Quote
Scoota G Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 I now have all the gear to take the engine back to stock. My L28 is now fitted to another club members Zed and i transferred the BAD260 plates over to the black zed. I guess i'll be getting rid of the Lotus Performance rims soon as i want to go with steel rims and hubcaps rather than the alloys. On the topic of the engine it now has a manual behind it and i must say the performance is Wicked. I know the new owner will be much happier with it. Quote
luvemfast Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I hope you were also paid to give it a coat of paint and a tidy up too while you had it out? looks pretty sha-weeet! Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted September 2, 2014 Administrators Posted September 2, 2014 Is that Vivek's car? Looking sharp. Quote
Scoota G Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 Is that Vivek's car? Looking sharp. It is Gav, i feel it now has the engine it deserves to back up those sharp looks. While i did get the L26 running well before i extracted it, it was garden variety L Series power and i can tell you now that the brakes on his car will need an upgrade very shortly. Quote
Agno Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 He should get some brembo breakes to match the brembo sticker Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted September 2, 2014 Administrators Posted September 2, 2014 Yeah that shot of the engine bay from the top corner with the black valve cover and triples looks great. Considering what this car looked like a couple of years ago. I spy some FD RX-7 seats in there also. How do you find those in the S30z? Quote
Scoota G Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 I kinda like this shot too, seems that Vivek's build has now stolen my build thread but i can only blame one person for that. The seats are a good shape but too high at the front and too low at the rear. Ok for highway use but you would get a very sore back driving around town. Quote
Scoota G Posted November 12, 2014 Author Posted November 12, 2014 Back up and running having spent $500 on Reconditioning the cylinder head which means brand new L26. Running very smooth with Vivek's Jag Su Twins, Extractors and Pertronix ignition. So much for unmodified. Quote
Scoota G Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 Very cool mate - well done! Thanks Muchly. certainly cleaned him up a bit. More pics. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted December 8, 2014 Administrators Posted December 8, 2014 Where's the siren and lights mate? I was wondering who went for the Japanese Patrol Car look. I see you bought those eBay wheels also. I'm thinking with my 72 240z I might do a bit of a tribute car of the Works Rally Cars with the black bonnet, sponsors, dual exhaust etc.. Since the paint has its flaws may as well have a bit of fun. I bet this gets a few looks alright? Quote

I bet this gets a few looks alright? This car was still in primer 13 Hours before i left for Melbourne. A girl came up and stood next to him at Classic Japan and had her friend take a photo, they walked past all the other Zeds. Adam found me this light on ebay. Now that i decided i need to sell the car i thought stuff it why not have some fun Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted December 8, 2014 Administrators Posted December 8, 2014 Haha, have fun with it mate. I watched this on my flight to San Francisco yesterday, it was actually alright as far as this genre goes. Just don't get caught impersonating a police officer. Quote
Ledge Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Thought that may have been yours Scoota, Good job. Are you putting the Japanese writing on and maybe some bullet holes? Quote
Scoota G Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 Thought that may have been yours Scoota, Good job. Are you putting the Japanese writing on and maybe some bullet holes? Sure am. I want to have a display for Street Weapon Restorations where i go to a car show with a Female Japanese model in a cop uniform and a professional photographer so guys can get shots of themselves getting arrested. For club members i could ask her to get a little more aggressive if they like Quote
Riceburner Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 That's going to be very funny Does this mean we will get a police escort to all future events and car shows? Haha. Quote
PeterAllen Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Patina? That's a strange name for a Japanese policewoman. Quote
Scoota G Posted December 8, 2014 Author Posted December 8, 2014 That's a strange name for a Japanese policewoman. I think Patina means potato in Japanese! Quote
