Very cool seats! I wonder how they would go for road worthy here?

I believe that they would only be acceptable in pre-1972 cars, due to ADR 22 (Australian Design Rule 22 for Head Restraints).

The 'legality' of low back seats was discussed in September in this thread;

They should have head rests. See attached photos.

RHD Dashboard (HS30) but that is nothing remarkable.

It was the tach that caught my eye!

It could be similar to the gauge here.

Cheap price! Shipping could be the killer though. Assuming these are plug and play with the standard loom.... It would be cheap to get them calibrated too.

Mitsubishi distributor for L-GATA 6.

http://page19.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/x427349712

More info here:

http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/606-mitsubishi-distributor-for-l-series-engine-electronic/

I recently bought another of these for myself. Yahoo! link here. (Part no. 22100-Y6810)

Although the part no. for this auction is a bit different. (Part no. 22100-P6510) - they look almost identical.

These are well engineered bit of kit, better than the common unit swapped over to most early S30z's.

A google search for these part no.s reveals a couple of Nissan part websites that list it at $350 USD new, but I doubt they would still be able to source these new....

If you ever pull these apart it's immediately obvious that they are made better than the E12-80 Hitachi units.

79,800 yen - a lot of coin for a replica wheel that still doesn't quite get the details right.

This MOMO wheel looks very similar to the Mach steering wheel.

Doesn't quite cut it for me, but it's cheap compared to the real thing!

If it had smooth leather and lighter brush finish on the aluminium it could go close to looking like a copy of the real deal.

EDIT: the diameter looks pretty small too, could make for some hard low speed steering.

Yeah I'm not sure it was designed to be a replica if I'm honest I think someone has modified a MOMO wheel to appear in the same style as the older Mach wheel.

Basically he's selling a replication of the MACH boss and horn-push to make a modern MOMO wheel look a bit like a vintage MACH.

There have been a couple of limited production projects to fully replicate some of the MACH and CHECKMAN steering wheels, and the product was pretty damned good. Prices were - ahem - 'reassuringly expensive'. For some reason the figure of 200,000 JPY or so comes to mind, but I'd have to check. I have photos somewhere too...

Alan what does the CHECKMAN steering wheel look like? By the way should it all be capitalised?

Just saw this.

http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/t456721995

I'm not sure if this is similar?

There were LOTS of different designs. They made them for a long time. I have some photos and some scans of old catalogues/ads somewhere. Somewhere! Let me see if I can find them. If not I'll have to re-scan the original ads.

The YJ auction link is for another one of the repro boss/horn push kits which make a modern MOMO steering wheel look like something else...

No, the Yahoo! seats are ikeda bussan replica seats and were used in the PS30-SB and works Rally Cars.

The other seats on Gumtree are DATSUN Bucket 8700-U0175 part no. (replica's and not the best I've seen to be honest).

Similar but different. ;)

Both are cool seats but maybe not be comfortable for larger individuals. Or so I'm told.

Do you guys just use google translate for the Japanese links?

Generally speaking, yes I do. It's not always the best translation though so I have a friend who can translate some Japanese for me and helps clarify what an auction is for and what the description is when in doubt.
