Administrators gav240z Posted September 13, 2015 Administrators Posted September 13, 2015 Z432 original mags, expensive, yikes! http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m144462084 Yes, ouch indeed. At current exchange rate that's nearly $10K AUD. I was watching those and thought maybe $4,000 AU - I was even considering them at that price. However that was when they were first listed. Now it appears it's gone up rapidly, and I'm afraid I won't be importing those anytime soon as much as I like them. Since they are Magnesium you have to be careful also to make sure they are not cracked. They would be very light though. Quote
Moderators PB260Z Posted September 14, 2015 Moderators Posted September 14, 2015 If a set is really going to sell for $10K that could be a good thing. With the increasing desirability of S30's it may only be a matter of time before there is enough demand, although not at $10K, to get a repo's made. Just a thought. Quote

Reproductions have been made in the past, and I'm waiting for the next batch to get made in the wider "KS" rally style. However they may be better in every way, but will never be an 'original' set. Part of the attraction of said wheels is that you don't see them on every S30z also . Quote
Brabham Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 AC compressor to suit 240Z - anyone know if this is original from factory as 260Z's run a Hitachi compressor. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/141770213947?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Cheers Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted October 22, 2015 Administrators Posted October 22, 2015 L28 Turbo, good price. $1000 http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/elizabeth-park/engine-engine-parts-transmission/nissan-280zx-patrol-260z-l28-turbo-and-fuel-injection-system/1092810238 Fuel injection and turbo systen for L28 motor as found in Nissan Patrol, 280ZX, 260Z and 240Z. The system is a hybrid of VL Commodore turbo, 280ZX turbo and custom parts.. It has a 280ZX inlet manifold which as been highly modified. The throttle body port has been ported to accept the 60MM KA24 throttle body. The cold start injector port has been deleted and a mount welded on to accept VL Commodore sensors and idle controller. The inlet manifold and the heat sheild are ceramic coated. It is currently fitted and running in a Nissan Patrol. The system uses VL Commodore turbo engine wiring harness which has been made stand alone so it will just run the fuel injection. Currently as running on the patrol it is using non turbo injectors and computer. To run the turbo a turbo computer and injectors will be supplied from a VL Commodore. The turbo exhaust manifold is from a 280ZX and the turbo charger is from a R33 Skyline of which are both are in good condition. The turbo charger dump pipe is a hiflow stainless steel after market item. The intercooler is new and has a 450x300 core and has some intercooler piping. The distributor is a VL Commodore item which has been modified to bolt straight on to an L28 engine. The system is 90% complete and will only need some fittings and intercooler piping to get it running turboed. This system cost a lot more than the asking price and is the cheapest way to to double the power of your L28 engine. Time wasters and lowballers will not be tolerated. No swaps. will not sell parts seperately so don't ask. May post item but due to weight and size expect to pay at least $200 extra. Quote
