looking for whole assembly if possible - lenses cracked and mounting tabs for the lights damaged. Looks like someone has done me the favour of glueing them as well. Thinking I will replace the lot for rego etc and see if I can do anything with the old ones once time allows.

I've been frantically trying to sort out our garage so that I actually have somewhere I can do some of the jobs I'm still planning on doing myself - it's still in a shocker from moving in a couple of months ago and has been low priority compared to getting some of the rest of the house sorted out! Definitely need to get it sorted now.

As per topic, checking if anyone has a set of these in good condition before I order the repro ones from MSA. Mine are cracked, broken and generally shagged.

I can walk to Pyrmont Bridge Hotel if that suits better. Think it only takes me 15 or 20 mins.

Some photos over email today from the beater: Floor Before : and after: I questioned how/why the sound deadener is apparently back on - they hit it with a heat gun and apparently it lifts relatively easily, so these guys heat/lift it then repair and rust guard then replace it before hitting it with paint. Interesting method and not what I was expecting. Got no reason to doubt them as clearly it has been off from the rust photos underneath, and the deadener doesn't look quite as neat now. The dodgy bits on the dirver's side were where I originally tried to strip off the deadener myself. Anyway so this is where it sits right now - can't help but be excited! :

Timely given the recent discussion on the Globe Bathurst style wheels!

Went in to check out the car at lunch time before the high fill goes on. Must say it's looking pretty good. They spent a couple of hours on the panel gaps when trial fitting the panels and I'm a happy man with how it's coming out Few more photos - Panel beater must have been saving them up because I'm getting them all in random order on email Repairs on one of the doors: This was the door they nearly gave up and bought a new skin. You can see (just) where it had been gouged down the middle (and then 30mm of bog or so over the top). These guys perservered and fixed the original skin - and I think their work looks pretty good: Another random photo

Yep - what's done is done and I am at peace with it all

Car is getting high fill early next week and then knock back and paint booth the following week. Brake line issues getting fixed while the high fill sets. Panel Beater has sent me some more of the photos I hadn't seen: This one I think is the worst bit of the car I've seen : Under side of the same spot (I think): That's looking better: New front lip trial fitted. I know it is "boy racer" style, but it is my one concession to teenage me who fell in love with 240Zs and wanted one with the full flares etc: Superior ventilation around the tail lights:

Looks a nice car and if seller is true to word on this point: then the price is a bargain. Definitely a nice looking bus!

These the factory alloys? prices been creeping up lately. Saw some recently for $300 for the set. Pretty sure either Gumtree or ebay has a set or 2 on at the moment if you want a current price comparison. Polish them up nice to make them a bit more saleable too.

A quick visit to the panel beaters today to check progress, drop off a part (thanks again Matt) and pick some other parts up. Was excited to see progress being made. Doors repaired - I didn't get photos but one door had been gouged previously and seriously had been patched up with about 30mm of bog!! The guys were looking at the cost of replacement door skins but ended up doing the work to repair it rather an replace. They did a good job and were happy to sow m both sides of the skin. Repairs on front now finished and sealed: Shocking rust holes in quarter window frame had new metal welded in and primed: roof repaired and back half of car being worked on: Some interesting ventilation in the hatch: Interior work to start soon. My daughter recently: Do you miss Fern Daddy ? Me, choking back tears (not really ): A little darling......

@wildy55 Picked them up today. Condition not too bad - one rust hole I can see but otherwise just the usual surface stuff. Photos below.
