  1. .
  2. I see this recently got sold. Would like to see the build, but not worth buying foxtel just for that Rob
  3. Yea, I've actually been following this on Instagram for a while. As you say, the attention to detail is impressive. Will definitely watch. Rob
  4. Hey @Hood280zx I've been doing some searching on this site for info on the transport costs, but not really finding anything. Maybe someone else can see something?. I'm sure I've seen something, but can't find it. FWIW, it cost me a $1000 from SA to here, when I bought my car . So I'd be guessing $2000 at least? Sorry I can't be more help. Hopefully someone here has done this. Cheers, Rob
  5. It's 14 days. Not worth the trouble not doing it. Cheers, Rob
  6. Firstly, welcome to Queensland The whole state appears to be stuck in the 70's, but you'll get used to it. I'm from NSW originally, so I know what I'm talking about I'd absolutely transfer it to Queensland registration. We don't have annual inspections here. Register it.....then drive it till it has so much rust the wheels fall off.....that way you'll fit in with the locals. Lol Cheers, Rob Ps. Sorry I didn't have anything constructive to add.
  7. Absolutely, will post up some pictures. Cheers, Rob
  8. What's the buzzer sound I'm hearing?. Rev limit warning?
  9. Seriously!.. I didn't realise this was available. Can even choose incar feeds. Awesome. And they're Ford's!!.
  10. Ok. Thinking a 215 on an 8 inch rim would look good . Unfortunately I don't have a single picture that shows both wheels together. But you can see the clear difference between my two wheels. Plus, you can also see my need for lower springs... Lol. But I do love the look of 225s on the rear. Thanks for your input Pete, much appreciated. Cheers, Rob
  11. Hi, So 225's on the front are a clearance issue?. Or just looking to lighten the steering? Sorry, just realised my mistake. Running 205's on the front. Creates a sort of hot rod look to the car. People have actually referred to it as that.... Definitely not my thing...lol.
  12. Cheers @PB260Z, Decided I will be fitting these springs shortly. Good to know about your wheel / tire sizing. Currently running a staggered setup 7 ( 215) / 8 ( 225). But really prefer to run equal dimensions. Just an aesthetic preference. Cheers, Rob
  13. Hey Pete, I've been playing catch up, with a lot of build threads, looking for inspiration / ideas. You're car looks awesome with the current wheel / spring combo, very nice. I assume your still running the same king spring combo?. What are your thoughts on ride comfort ect? I have the exact same model, and that ride height looks perfect. My current wheels maybe the only issue, but they can always be replaced Cheers, Rob
  14. I know I'm not the first to say this, but the attention to detail in this build is truly admirable. Really enjoy the updates and the videos. Can't wait to see you enjoying the fruits of your labour Of course, a large part of the pleasure is in the build itself
  15. Suppose it depends on your definition of a small fortune . I think $500+ for a used 25+ year old seiko watch falls into that category This is your typical overpriced ebay listing. But you don't see many with the original straps. Collectors love that stuff. Another issue with the gold seikos is that a lot of them get replated. And it's very obvious, I have one and it's very clear to see. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F222980992478
  16. Yea, I've been eyeing one of the eco drives off for a while... Beautiful.
  17. Nice, a 5T52 with the original band. Beautiful condition. There getting hard to find. Well, without spending a small fortune. I couldn't bring myself to spend anymore than about $300 on a yahoo auction watch. It's always a gamble. And the quality of pictures can be awful. The gold centre one works beautifully ( needs new battery). The silver one on the right is very rare, but doesn't work or have the original strap . Going to transplant the workings from a lesser model into it. Ended up with about 12, but sold a few over the years. Ps. Thanks for separating this topic.
  18. Hi, I developed more of a fascination for a particular movement. The Seiko 6m15 world timers. There from the early to mid 90's. Fascinatingly complex watches. Seiko fitted it into a number of different cases. A watch were the hands can move backwards hooked me.. Lol And then there was the Sieko Age of Discovery collecting, but I had to stop myself, it was getting out of hand.. Lol
  19. Hey Lurch, Would be interested in recommended products. As this is something I haven't had a any experience with. Or are you simply referring to standard body filler? Please excuse my ignorance, just starting to feel my way around this speciality Cheers, Rob
  20. Nah, there's only one of them. I need a matching pair...
  21. I've used FromJapan in the past. But only for small items, watches. Clear payment / fee structure with regular updates as to the status of the deliveries. Ability to bundle items, to reduce final despatch cost. Items always turned up well packaged. Cheers, Rob
  22. Ahhh, that topic that's pinned below this one?.. Lol. Cheers OdinZ.
  23. Howdy all, Regarding Yahoo japan items. What proxy bidding services are people using ? . I have used FromJapan in the past, but that was for watches. Cheers, Rob
  24. Morning @Cozza Mmmmm, interesting that those two aren't being registered as read. Is it still doing this today? I'm waiting on more unread content to fully explore this, but I have noticed one interesting quirk. When someone posts a new reply, it will often show a notification for the previous reply as well ( which has been read). But clicking on either of them will take me to the unread reply. Will explore this further. Also, I suspect the capital issue is related to an autofill/keyboard setting on your phone. Cheers, Rob
  25. Drifting off topic but... I find it disappointing/confusing that the likes of Facebook are usurping traditional forums. Maybe I'm just showing my age, lol. But most modern social media platforms are just simply collective noise. I believe ( hope) there will always be a medium for enthusiasts who are looking for actual information or advice. Especially when it's organised categorically. Rant over Rob
