Absolutely would slow you down d3c0y. I never bought a traditional shifter ( for my current setup) , because it's never suited the cars I've driven. Like most (I assume), I'm using paddle shifters. I had a shifter when I played Grand Prix Legends, but that was many, many years ago

There also appears to be a manual clutch option, versus auto clutch. I'll have to give it a go, interested to see how it goes.

Ahhh.. A mystery driver.. Lol I haven't actually played since early last week. Haven't had the time. Going to have to pick up my game.

On a side note, the bracket you linked to, won't work with out levers. I know because I bought one

Cheers OdinZ, your a legend I now understand exactly what's going on. The mounts are different lengths, so it angles the lever. Mine are completely destroyed, so I couldn't see that. Ok, back to drawing board with the bracket. Cheers, Rob

Not sure if this has already been listed. But really enjoying this series. Pretty gutsy to spend the equivalent of 100k ( Aus) on a potentially stuffed Lambo. Actually, probably more than 100k, because we seem to have ridiculous premiums on these sorts of cars here.

I should add, that in the first post, I'm holding the lever in the position it needs to be to align with the slot. Just seems wrong to me.

Hey Gilltech, Sorry, should have explained myself better. Yea, I suspect the original mounts broke some time ago. I suspect my lever has never been connected to them, as there aren't even any of the broken pieces, or screws present. I did a mock up of a tunnel mounting plate. But that's when the issue with it not fitting under the console became apparent. I also noticed, later yesterday, that someone has actually widened the lever slot ( badly ) in order to make the lever work. It's those reasons that make me suspicious that it's not original. The lever in the second post has a distinctly different design. Looks like it's more appropriate for my car. Wider offset between the mounting holes and the lever, placing the mounting point closer to the centre of the console. And a lower profile at the cable mounting point, meaning it would fit under the console?. Cheers, Rob

I've had triple webers ( 40mm), a four barrel and twin SU's on my L26. My 40mm gave me awesome bottom end, but ran out of breath at the top. Honestly can't speak for the 45mm, as I've never run them. Just my 2 cents.

Looking online, I'm seeing things like this. Which would work.

As the title states, is this the correct lever for a 260z? It's never been properly mounted, flopped around. Thought I would try and hard mount it to the tunnel, but I can't see how to get it to fit under the console. Am I missing something here? Cheers, Rob

Yea, your balls to the wall statement sums it up, for me. As far as I see it, the major issues when comparing times in a simulation to reality, is the concept of immortality. How much faster would any driver be , if they could simply press reset every time they made a mistake ?. Imagine being able to explore the limits of your car / yourself , with no concerns. And FWIW, Jeff43 is now into the 2:23 range. That's immortality for you

Hey Jeff, Yea, I'm running the Loose setup. Only because that was the first setup that was loaded. How much time is left in it?, ironically I was thinking about 0.3 seconds. Which ain't good enough now... Lol. So I suspect your going to be seeing the custom setup icon soon The only reason I like the current setup is that it is very similar to the Skip Barber in iRacing, which I spent a lot of time driving. Both low powered / well balanced cars that can be steered using the throttle, as much as the actual steering wheel. Nice job on that newest time . Going to take some serious chasing. Looks like I'm going to have to buckle down and commit to some serious testing... Lol. Enjoying the challenge I suspect it won't be long before we have a couple of other people nipping at our heals. Cheers Richard. I can't speak from experience, as I've never raced mine or any real Zed , but in this context I love how the oversteer/understeer is basically controlled through the throttle. That's why your seeing that wiggle , as I find the balance point. Rob

Absolutely the key. If you look at my replay, you'll see me constantly doing this. The round info display in the bottom right shows throttle and brake input.

Would absolutely love to. But at least a couple of years away for me. And I'd be amazed if I cracked 4 minutes in the real thing... Lol.
