    Hi The purists will tell you that you should stick with the original colour, trim and spec. If you look other collectable classics originality certainly helps the value, especially in a rare or unique car. What is a rare or unique Z in Aus ? That is good a question, maybe early girls. Having said that, it is YOUR car so have it the way you want it. Life is to short to drive a car that is someone else's idea of perfect.. Just my two cents worth. Cheers PB

    Never really got the Series 4 RX-7. The Series 2 was my first exposure to fast Japanese cars that also handled. They just seemed to loose the edge with the S4 - they got it back with the S5.

    Hi Mick Me bad - a +30 rim would be touch and go. I am pretty sure the standard offset is +3 on a six inch rim. Given that an 8" inch rim at 0 zero clears and that would make a 6 inch at +30 8mm closer than the 8"rim it would be close, the diffence in tyre thickness could be enough to make it work. Would be easier to get rim off a parted out Z or ZX. Warren at allZparts would have one Cheers PB

    It is great that Maria is so supportive of your hobby, or should we say obsession - as previously mentioned, she is a keeper.Anita (my better half) has also been incredibly supportive of my many crazy automotive antics over the past 25 years and her support is large part of why I have my toys.

    Hi Mate Can't really be sure without having the car in front of me but, No power at the dimmer switch is where I would start. Maybe even hotwire it and see if the guages light up. No tacho - The original internals of the tacho wdon't work with modern ECU signals, They can be modded to pick up the pulse from the RB ECU. High beam and Brake light - are they coming on at 100% or somewhat dim, if dim possibly a bad earth. Sounds like someone has had a lot of fun with wiring around your dashboard. Cheers PB

    Hi Dave When I fitted the Compe to my Bus I too had clearence issues, but not quite as bad as in your photos. Maybe yours has been bent forward to suit an 80's deep dish steering wheel I very carefully (and nervously) bent mine back about an inch or so. Cheers PB

    Hi Mate Maybe take the whole lot to an old school Engineering Shop or Fitter amd Turner and see if they can turn one up for you. I know a guy in Sydney who could do it, but that won't help you too much. Cheers PB

    Haha, I will be having a few beers with Lurch in a week or two, maybe I can get some tips from him. Seriously though, I know that Gav puts in a huge amount of time and effort into making sure this forum delivers us all a first rate experience. I have taken a great deal from this forum and it's members over the last few years and want to give some back, so to speak, by assisting in with the day to day operational side side of things.
