  1. Hi, The adaptors are a cheap and effective solution - However they will not allow you actually draw 15a (3600w), they are limited to 10a (2400w) by the RCBO that is inbuilt in the adaptor. This shouldn't be a drama unless you are running at high settings with long duty cycles. Cheers PB
  2. Hi Gav Could you fit the Supercrap ones internals into the older housing ?
  3. Hi Spoke to owner of the Brock today. You are correct (how dare I doubt you) the Brock is 100% original and being an '86 VL Group A qualifies for historic. Cheers PB
  4. Maybe, maybe not Gav. But the money saved verses full NSW rego can be put to better uses - like more toys
  5. Great decision. Are you going to purchase or rent your gas bottle ?
  6. And PM twoforty z for postal address
  7. Hi Have a look at this thread, amazing work on 260Z original alloys. Truthfully the entire Dadson Racing 2010 Revival thread is worth a read. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/5210-dadson-racing-2010-revival/page-27 Cheers PB
  8. What is a Checkman wheel ?
  9. Hi, A few of us have got great results using Autosol. Or maybe get a better starting point ? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Datsun-240z-260z-280z-wheels-/132093914139? Cheers PB
  10. Hi, It is funny how sometimes the steps you are dreading turn out to be much easier than expected - shame this doesn't happen more often. That fix to the fulcrum problem is a very neat and simple fix. Have added that to list of jobs to do on the bus. Cheers PB
  11. Haha, For me it things that need petrol Datsuns Vintage cars Road bike Dirt bikes And Just about every petrol powered garden tool known to man. Ah, a man has got to have his toys.
  12. Hi By law a dealer has to include the following in every ad. - make / model - vin or rego And That is for sale by a dealer and the Dealers Licence No. Dealership name is contentious especially when dealing with "blind" sites like Carsales As an aside, it is also a requirement that the EXACT vehicle advertised must be available at the advertised price on the day the ad appears. Well that is in NSW, not 100% sure about other states. Cheers PB
  13. Hi Some very very nice toys in that collection. Makes for a tough decision when heading out for a sunday drive up your favourite road. Cheers PB
  14. Hi, I would Standard steel tube from the master cylinder to the chassis rail near the slave cylinder. - any brake specialist shop can make this. Flexible hose from the chassis rail to slave cylinder. - Brake shop or Enzed, Pirtek etc. Doing it this way will give a factory look and be one less thing for the engineer to worry about. Cheers PB
  15. I have been thinking the same, but once you start down that path how soon until you run into the limitations of the L28ET hardware ? Where does it end.
  16. Hi Assuming the box bolts up, the problem would be the clutch action. If the carrier is to long, the clutch will not engage, or not fully engage To short and it won't disengage, or not fully disengage. Cheers PB
  17. Hi, As Lurch said, process of elimination. Insofar as the bearing carriervis concerned, there are plenty of different carriers, have a look at this thread. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/14705-thrust-bearing-carriers/ Cheers PB
  18. Hi I thought I had seen some "spin" in car ads, but never "matching air" - made me laugh
  19. Hi Mate For the R180 Diff it just a tight fit and normally it can just be gently prized out of the casing with wide pliers or similar. (not sure about the R200) If there is nothing left of yours to grab on to you may need to remove the rear cover and drift it out from the inside. Cheers PB
  20. Hi Dave I have to agree with your comment "Fugging electrickery" I reckon we have all been caught out by this black magic - I know I have. Cheers PB
  21. Anyone care to guess on what price it will achieve ?
  22. They do come up from time to time.I am tempted to go that way with mine as well, but not sure if I would use the genuine ECU or something programable. Good luck, looking forward to folowing your progress. Cheers PB
  23. Yep, it is indeed, not sure which car I was thinking of - me bad.
  24. Yes, to a lot of people 240s are more desirable tha 260s.In regard to those cars, consider these points - Orange car, has been modified to suit a Chev V8 so would most likely need chassis work to refit the L series engine. - Red car is a 2+2, and these are a lot cheaper than the 2 seaters. Cheers PB
