  1. I am pretty sure the coil is only meant to get 9V when running. The ballast resistor drops the voltage, it is bypassed when the key is in the start position. Cheers PB
  2. Hi Brad Welcome, I too have memories of reading about your old car 30 odd years ago. The cars have indeed gone up in value, especially over the last few years - most agree that they will continue to do so. As the prices have gone up, cars seem to keep appearing - possibly driven out of hiding by $$$ Anyway, good luck with the search and I look forward to hearing a success story at some stage. Cheers PB
  3. Possibly, but the location will put some folk off.Would like to see more photos.
  4. No worries, glad you found one locally.
  5. I got approved almost immediately, maybe your rquest went MIA.

    Stroker?

Hi Not necessarily, you could just remove the big end bearing cap and measure. Cheers PB

    Stroker?

Hi Measure the internal size of the bigends and post that number. Cheers PB
  8. Hi I too vote for Safari Gold, seeing it under the latch for the storage bins in pretty conclusive to me. Cheers PB
  9. Gidday, I think I have one in the back of the workshop. I am away at the moment but will have a dig around when I get back next week, that is assuming you don't find one close beforehand. Cheers PB
  10. Hi Doug PM replied Cheers PB
  11. Looks fantastic - love the use of the word "Potential"
  12. They would be great on the bus, but there is so much more you could do with $80K.
  13. That will teach me to procrastinate
  14. Hi Tempting, would you be able to package and post to Sydney ? Cheers PB
  15. Gidday Well that is certainly a "Tiny" video, some might even call it a teaser. Looking forward to seeing a longer video and/or reading an update Cheers PB
  16. Original unmolested, except for the engine / transmission change and why is the cargo area a different colour ??
  17. So,was it a case of change the rules to suit the major teams and sponsors ?
  18. That is really interesting, NRMA wanted twice what the Shannons premium was.
  19. +1, certainly one of the wildest cam profiles I have seen.
  20. The Series 2 RX7 had bugger all rear leg room when the front seats were all the back. From memory reward travel of the front seat stopped when it impacted the rear seat.
  21. Gav Maybe look at a house on a larger corner block. you could then put a workshop in the backyard with access from the side street. I have seen this work well Cheers PB
  22. It would appear that 280ZX's have also been caught up in the recent price rises, albeit to a lesser degree. Then again that looks like a very tidy car, but it is an Auto
  23. I have just moved my home & contents to Shannons as well, saved about 45%.
  24. Hi My bus is running an L28E out of 280ZX so that motor had multi belt capacity on the balancer. The balancer on the original L26 also had multi belt capacity due to the car having factory A/C. My question - would the balancer off the late L26 & L28E suit the earlier single pulley engines fitted in non A/C cars ? cheers
  25. Hi I have re commissioned the A/C in my for a couple reasons. - on hot days it is no fun in traffic. - on wet days my demister isn't the best A/C overcomes that. - The car came with it and it seemed crazy to have it all sitting there and no benefit. Cheers PB
