Spent probably the best part of 5 hours on the media blaster cleaning up all my suspension and crossmember pieces ready for painting. I wanted a really tough satin black finish and asked a mate who builds cars for a others as a living and he swears by a Valspar product called TB543, he has tried powder coating and many other options and has found this to be the best by far. You can belt it with a hammer and it doesn't touch it......I've tried it and am sold on this! For Vic people its available from http://www.bodyshoppaintsuppliesbayswater.com.au/ there are other Body Shop Paint Supplies in Melbourne but don't know if they carry it.
All the BM heads say that standard clutches are really nice, light pedal but plenty strong especially in a light car so I ended up going with a new standard clutch ($600) as the dual mass flywheel looked pretty new and I couldn't justify the starting price of $1500 + cost for an aftermarket you bewdy clutch.
R33 GTS-T front brake conversion is nearly sorted, just waiting on a small machining job to be done and I will post some photos.
