Spent probably the best part of 5 hours on the media blaster cleaning up all my suspension and crossmember pieces ready for painting. I wanted a really tough satin black finish and asked a mate who builds cars for a others as a living and he swears by a Valspar product called TB543, he has tried powder coating and many other options and has found this to be the best by far. You can belt it with a hammer and it doesn't touch it......I've tried it and am sold on this! For Vic people its available from http://www.bodyshoppaintsuppliesbayswater.com.au/ there are other Body Shop Paint Supplies in Melbourne but don't know if they carry it. All the BM heads say that standard clutches are really nice, light pedal but plenty strong especially in a light car so I ended up going with a new standard clutch ($600) as the dual mass flywheel looked pretty new and I couldn't justify the starting price of $1500 + cost for an aftermarket you bewdy clutch. R33 GTS-T front brake conversion is nearly sorted, just waiting on a small machining job to be done and I will post some photos.

No, not buying a pipe bending machine.....you just buy pre bent sections and then cut and weld as required to give the shape you require. Its actually not that hard if you can at least weld to a basic level?

Bump! Surely someone has some bare 260 front struts........don't need complete assembly just bare struts without springs, hats etc. will do.

So the front brake upgrade I'm working on has run into a snag but may work with a bit of surgery. I'm not prepared to chop up my 240 struts just yet so looking for another set of 240 struts or 260 struts. Would like hubs if anyone has the 260 struts.......what have people got out there? Thanks. That's what Enkelman said to me, no chassis mods required (stock M3 320hp) as long as the drive train and brakes were up to it

I spoke with Enkelman last week just to confirm nothing significant has changed with the introduction of NCOP and thye confirmed that as long as the car is pre 75 (ADR's) then no real issues. I didn't ask what the implications were for post 75.
