Neighbour here in Brisbane, just picked up a 2+2 Silver, been resprayed, from Gold Coast. $2000 He knew it was too good to be true, started poking, prodding, etc, and has found lots of smallish, (5 c to 10c coin size) rust holes in floors, rails, battery tray, wiper motor well, the usual spots, but he is as keen as mustard to fix it himself, has good welding skills! Best thing, the motor runs very nice, no rattles, was rebuilt some 20,000 km ago! I'll get him onto here for the resource he may need! Hes 48, and its his first ever Z

From rear edge of front splitter base, with cut outs and fold ups to clear front tyres, to all the way back to where floor pan turns up, just in front f rear suspension. And another flat bottom, turned up in front of where stock fuel tank would be, full width into rear f wheel wells, going back to rear f body lip, fully enclsed. A couple of fins either side of centre, and at outer edges f that section, will clean up some turbulence. All good for high speed, ie Conrod, turn 1 at Eastern Creek, and likewaise at PI

Better to measure oil temp in a volume flow position, ie at a sandwich plate, or f running a oil cooler, a reading after oil has passed through the cooler. Measuring at sump, will give higher readings due to incresded latent heat, as the bulk quantity of oil has just come down from engine internals, and will be at very high temp levels. ,( they get quite scary! Have seen 140deg C at sump sensors!)

The later Spanish Webers vs older Italian made Webers have a lot f ssues, The internal passages of the Solex carbs are equivalent, to the older Itlian Weber, but the Solex is mre deal for our intake teact goung into the valve bowl, as the accelerator pump jet rifices are better positioned in the Solex.
