The ZX's have a bit more room under the guards, you could get in an 8 or a 9" wide rim, but nt at 17" diam. The Transpirt inspectors mght not be happy at 17" diam, considering stock was 14" ( USA had optional 15")
It may be an idea to consider a 15 or 16" diam rim, at clse to 0 or a neg offset, with a decent sidewall height tyre,
Eg a 225/50x15, will fill the guards nicely, combined with a set of lowered heavy springs.
I have sets f classic styled rims, same as the Rota RB, in 15x9 neg 13, which will have the tyres out near guard edges. $1100 a set, plus freight.
