  1. Some cheap-arse dropped in a bdget replacement motor,l20's were also fitted to JDM Skylines, in early '80's, and due to Japanese registration fees, 2 litre engines are much cheaper. It most likely came out in a container full of used motors.
  2. Pair of 44PHH2-Q As fitted standard to Datsun 2000 Roadster with upgraded OEM 150 HP U20 motor These are in GC, stored for some 22 years, off car, and are For Sale
  3. Got a few OEM ones, can pack and post, from Brisbane. Got a brand new Carter Red too, suit Webers!
  4. Gav, Sorry, out of luck for me. The pair I have are the rarer 44PHH2-Q These were original fitment on the high HP U20 motor in the Datsun Sports 2000 This pair is for sale, but may not appeal to the Z fraternity
  5. Except for when the case hardening does wear through,,,,, OEM with the seperate wipe area, made of tougher yet brittle alloy,is superior. If any are after OEM new rockers, I have large quantities available.
  6. You will kill it's future potential resale value. Once rear guard lips are cut, and reshaped to fit inner wells, and rewelded, thats renders the body shell extremely difficult, and costly, to get back right. You also need a donor car ( rare). Rust free, to cannabalise. Do flares on a 260Z 2+2, if you must. 260Z 2 seaters are even rarer. Totally up to you, it's your car!
  7. There will be a four digit number, in an ovally shaped stamping, on the sidewalls They may be different numbers, on each tyre. What are they?
  8. I remeber buying those, for my first 1600 The improvement over the standard factory cross plys was amazing. Then i bought some Yokohama A008R,,,,,,, thats when I discovered real road/track grip!
  9. Plenty out there for s30 A few have fabricated semi-trailing arms for other models, once a jig is made, shouldnt be too hard to make in Cro-Mol.
  10. They are not setback far enough, to cater for the longer S13/14 boxes,,,,
  11. Brilliant stuff!!!
  12. That will be fine. You then might to consder a different dff ratio, to liven it up. 3.9, k, 4.1, better, 4.4, gets a bit RPMy on the highway.
  13. You bg girl you!Even Bobby Holden, at 80 something ( going on 110!) still camps out They have brillant facilities out the back! Have fun, and keep us udated on your max speeds attained, Mr 270kph !
  14. RACE Engineering in Salsbury Qld does hese, a lot! You may need to ring around some of the heel repair type shops in Melbourne/near you.
  15. You guys are going to be blown away by the quality of the feilds in the various grous. Quite a few are down at Phillip Island, now, getting the cars sorted, and are treating the lap-dash/sprints weekend of this event, as practice and set-up testing for the proper race meets in 2017 The pitlane garages will be busy! Have your cameras ready with plenty of memory space!
  16. Hitachi symbol
  17. Same with the insulators for these! I have four NOS, and 1 used but vgc!
  18. They usually turn up as pairs, off other 4 cyl cars! I have a pair! 1 would be useless, unless another 6cyl guy has a pair also!
  19. Is there a symbol or trademark stamp somewhere on the housing?
  20. Sounds like a bit of moisture has gotten into the taper. If the screw seperator is not able to do it, Then a pickle fork is the answer, but, put some steering lock on, get the steering arm and rear tension rod in as straight a line as possible, and hold pickle fork in same straight line. Hard sharp decent whack.
  21. The ZX's have a bit more room under the guards, you could get in an 8 or a 9" wide rim, but nt at 17" diam. The Transpirt inspectors mght not be happy at 17" diam, considering stock was 14" ( USA had optional 15") It may be an idea to consider a 15 or 16" diam rim, at clse to 0 or a neg offset, with a decent sidewall height tyre, Eg a 225/50x15, will fill the guards nicely, combined with a set of lowered heavy springs. I have sets f classic styled rims, same as the Rota RB, in 15x9 neg 13, which will have the tyres out near guard edges. $1100 a set, plus freight.
  22. That size will give you 110mm backspace, they will get quite close to the spring perches on the struts. Tyre section and width will need consideration. A 205/50 tyre on 7.5 wide rim. Overall diam will be quite a bit taller than original at 635mm Something in a +5 to a 0 offset, in 7.5" width would be better.
  23. Hey, Can cut you a better price on those 15x9" rims, if the gearbox is able to be sold seperately? Easy pickup/drop off too, Northside Brisbane
  24. My-laps? So no decent Natsoft results then, If every entrant brought a passenger, who was prepered to help out for half a day for two days, that'd go a longway to ensuring marshall numbers! Should have it as a condition of entry/reduction in entry fee!
  25. Stock tank, R200 with its moustache, a 2 litre pot and pre-filter, and a Bosch 044, all fit On the drivers side, not directly behind diff. Doing the above, you are going to a lot of effort.
