Silver Fox Team ?, more like Grey Ghost Team Nothing a couple of liters of Grecian 2000 won't fix. I swear some bastard keeps sprinkling flour on my head each night while I gently sleep!

all good, some Araldite, some masking tape, a couple of cuts with a 9" angle grinder, and finish off with some shuutz for the underside, and a vinyl roof, and some No2 cut and polish. Done ahem ahem -

Nooooooooo, not Pres of Auszcar, just the QLD Z Car Club!!! But only too happy to help. You two headed Tassie laddettes should be able to help Mark out when he gets his 240 back home, hey??

Numbers are the raised casting marks, they have no relation to dates, but, depending on the type of extension housing as to what models they were fitted to. I tend to ignore them, as over the last 30 plus years many have been dismantled and renewed, by the many gearbox shops, and I see plenty that has me wondering why it was done? Ie a 720 truck ratio set put into a Bluebird box, or a early old style synchro set put into a DR30 Skyli box. Have seen a few so called early 260 boxes ( with the fill plug on rhs) that have plain ratios ie 3.32 first instead of the desirable 2.9 first. Later extension housings with the external horizontal ribbing has a better reverse "lockout" mechanism on the main selector rod, but the early extension housings have much more support metal right at the back to prevent the tailshaft from flogging and ripping the very back off.

As this is pretty specialized I'll post here, but this genuine Nissan part I have is now excess to requirements. It is a option 2 gear countershaft Asssyembly, and NO, I do not have spare, the matching mainshaft gears. The ones I have Are not for sale! I do have all part numbers for all items This is for sale at $600. This is for a FSC71B type box The rest of the items that one would need to complete a option box would either need to be made if Nissan cannot supply them, or may, if one is lucky, be sitting in various spare parts wharehouses somewhere around the world, or sitting in some Nissan junkie's collection of very rare things! Peter mc, Les Collins has not yet rung me about the other early type A option boxes I have for sale. Post enquiries here:

A reminder about forum policy
dat2kman replied to gav240z's topic in Introductions and Forum Etiquette
I know it exists, I don't understand it, I prefer to operate on the kiss principle, therefore I do not use it. I see I have some, others have lots, and others have little, but be blower if I can work it out!!! -
Well, Niel Taylor in the replica 710 SSS Violet, along with John Hadden in the ex works Colin Bond BDA Mk 2 Escort, with Jason Lea in the Jamie Drummond built, George Fury driven Datsun 120Y will go head to head on the Super Special Stages over all three nights in full competition at Coffs WrRC. It is very pleasing to see these old historic cars come out to play, and on paper the mighty Y should do well! In the Classic Rally, Richard Galley in his 260Z will be chasing Stew Reid ( my old driver) in the BDG Mk 2 Escort after having come a very close 2 nd at last months ARC event in South Australia Some 101 cars will contesting up to 280 km's of competitive stages over the three days of Sept 8,9&10 The 120 Y is welcoming all to be service crew, plea pst you interest here, you won't have to do much, just cheer and show your Datsun love!

Sounds like shameless plugs for an event for high end cars to drive in a long straight line as fast as possible, one wonders if after this event is over will we get forum input and general Z love from avd57l. Gotta be kinda like those who join up just to flog off stuff. Anyone checked out where Temora is,? There is a fantastic airplane museum there, but gee it is a long way to go to get there, I pass right through on my interstate runs, and did a Variety Bash fund raiser car rally through there a couple years back.

Hiss to you, waddaya mean!!! this has got rust in body, does not run, has had numerous hits, had bits stripped and other bits put on, needs muffler, air con is dodgy. It's a parter , by the time you spend upwards of $1500 plus rego to put it on road is it worth 4000 plus? 1750 plus rego at 700 plus repairs at approx 1500 Richo, with so many in this cond out there, it is good for parting out! I will have it stripped in five hours, and can use some bits, keep some for the race car, the rest will end up like the last two. Zac, my offer stands, and I can collect whenever you are ready, if it doesn't sell on eBay a second time around, Only as it is close to me, I CBC traveling a gazillion miles to get them. If one of your offers is at $1500, you should take that as fast as you can!
-
No bids at all on Evilbay I have cash waiting can collect car asap at $800 Market offers are from $800 as you posted above with rwc and 12 months rego it would fetch a bit more, maybe. May need $$$ spent to get roc. I am after them for parting out and using bits for mine, I picked up a couple a while back, unreg and no rwc for $500 & $800

Got half a dozen, but, they're in Brisbane. Can arrange freight via E go no problem. Also got internals and can supply a complete cluster with extension housing , ie you use your bell housing. Pm me if you can't locate something in Vic

yes the "Drive Bathurst" sort of got FoSC Easter Bathurst event ( that cost us some $750 to enter and run over the easter of 2008,'09, and '10) kicked out Now they offer a dirive around at some crazy price like $2500 or $1900 or sumink. tir33d, sounds like, and at times of 1.05 to 1.10 you may find the oil in the sumps are not doing what you think they are, or should be, the top end (rocker cover) is getting nice and full, thus leaving the sump kind of empty, along with this the oil foaming/aeration wont help. At lakeside on the weekend three cars all died, lots of rattle rattle ( two Toranas and a 351 Falcoon) There are things you should be able to do before you resort to the expense and intricacy of dry sumping.

got some, and best of all I am in BRISBANE The Gap pm me a

hello buddy, cool cave. I remeber doing the design for mine, thinking it would be BIG enuf, I now wish I had gone a couple metres wider and four metres longer, ( just to fit more crap in!) Yes we all need somewhere to tuck ourselves into, away from the nopics, and PLAY !!! Mines getting a work out, the 2000 has the motor out 8 bent valves), the Z has to get the box out, synchros cried ENUF at Morgan Park, and the Y is getting final prep for WRC Coffs. My hoist came from Clive Broad at Yarrambat, he advertises in Australian Classic car mag, still works good, but the wire runs over non bearing sheaves, and one ram has a very slight weep, but for an up and a down once a week it's good.

unreg no rwc, but I'd be interested in it if it gets insufficient bidding on evilbay and I;m just over the hill from you too.
-
Matt , my young bloke wants first option on the Sparco seat, and I,m interested in the smallish rims 15" hobbies, that is if the package as a whole isn't taken. Others you had better start putting your hands up for the parting out, if it happens. James Flett in Sydney may want the rear half cut for Chris Grey's Z he bent it at Easyern creek a month ago, pushed in and over some 12"
-
Bugger, sounded like it was a race meet, but it is a "display" day ie a show and shine, probably on the concrete pad at rear of pit area. If it had races I'd be there for shivers and g giggles ( can I say shi ts and giggles!)

Check out Peter T on here recent thread for lowered King springs and Koni shocks, he may separate them?? In the for sale section Worth a try anyway!

It is going heads up against a BDA Escort, ex Colin Bond rego no IYK-000 sumthing about excite the spectaters might be a few people there watching a few yung fellas from Urope too!

yeah i know, it is an old post, but I cant help trawling around here, anywy, on a recent trip to Nippon, I was given a dvd titled "Nissan - 70 Years Motorsports History" It is all in Japanese language, and shows a heap of real old footage, and new stuff as well, of Nissan/Datsun in competitoin. including the little tiny cars that came out here in 1958 for the Mobilgas trial. The race footage has the Japanese commentator going absolutely ballistic when cars win the races, a real hoot! Only thing is it is a one off original dvd, and it goes for a while, and I am still a computer numpty when it comes to uploading/downloading onto the nets, I cant even work out how to do photos, I have done them, but cant bloody well remember how. Any Ideas/ I live in Westside brisbane, so any computer savvy locals are welcome to come by and "assist" me

Mark somebody in Sydney area, he races a Datsun Sunny with a FJ20 or SR20 fitted in IPRA. they do/did advertise via their website. try searching for Datsun/Nissan Sunny in the IPRA fields on say Natsoft, that should give you a name or two, then google it up BTW very pricey, have a llok at the Performance S/lites in the GTR spec, they are doing up to 15x10 in -26 offsett! Made in SA, the Pana's come in from like South America?
