  3. Hi, seeing as there is a few guys that have dellorto's i thought some of you might know where i can locate parts for the dellorto's in melbourne.
  4. i found out that running the motor @ 90% efficiency and reving to 6500rpm the motor would require 473.958 CFM.
  5. That many variables huh, i thought it might be.
  6. Just a quick question working out flow rates of 40's and 45's. First whats the formula for working out the flow rate of 40mm carbs, and secondly how many variables are there in getting the correct flow rate. cheers glen
  7. not me
  8. i will be there if i can it just comes down to when Len wants to start pulling out my motor.
  9. i will get len brennan to fab one up (air box) for me, when its done you should check it out as all his work is A1 and if you heard the induction he gets on his car it's awesome.
  10. if your going 3.1 you would really want 45's
  11. Sulio, im not going to use the bird nests, they might look nice but getting the right length air horn is more important to me, also you get a better induction sound with air horns. oh and happy birthday Sulio GT240Z my mate is still after a set aswell
  12. Triples turned up today, thanks for the extra packing. A pleasure doing buisness Cheers glen
  13. oh ok, so did you watch the race? did you watch how the pantera didnt pull away from him on the straights?? Are you going to tell me the rest of the field mainly being big V8's took it easy to make the "Z" look faster in a straight line than what it was. BTW iirc he had 275hp at the fly and watching him with my own eyes he came 3rd in a race against many pantera's and porches. Theres heaps more you can do to a motor than what you mentioned. Edit: Sorry if my post sounds agressive but when i see things with my own eyes and more so so did you i wonder how you come to conclusion that he must be a lier.
  14. You can make any car go fast its just a matter of how much. running 13-1 comp with 2 inch hitachi's must be possible because he was doing it. He was no slouch on the straight. There was a lot of work done to the motor, he told me the cam specs and valve sizes etc but it has slipped my mind. BTW there isnt that much of a difference from 2.6 to 2.8 you know i would have worked my 2.6 instead if i could have got some flattops for it.
  15. Next year, marquee with BBQ. So bring a chair and meat next year. We will be doing the same for P.I. but you will probably be a bit more busy if you are showing your machine again. If not we will be there with a proper setup. What time did you shoot off roughly? The F5000's ran again. Main attraction for me as i think they are just animals.
  16. Hey modular, let me know if you going to get rid of the triples, i may have discussed this before with you.
  17. PM sent
  18. James Flett's machine was quite nice, very well presented race car, to think it was out doing 400hp pantera detomaso's and porches. Stock brakes with his own brake bias running full rear as much as it allowed him. His motor is running 13-1 comp. He had 225rwhp, pretty good for a 2.6 running 2 inch Hitachi's BTW that audi sounded awesome but the biggest highlight was watching the 6 liter Calibra(?) catch on fire right in front of us. Everyone was relieved to see the driver exit and not on fire. Looks as though it may have been a hydaulic line onto the rear brakes as he over shot leading into the corner right before the fire. Overall a good day was also good to see Dimitri and have a quick chat about his RB.
  19. Im not knocking your idea i just dont think Motorkhana's are all that great for cars in general imho. Unless i am mistaken isnt it where you drive madly around cones? Anyway thats just me.....

Me mate mik should have one pretty cheap.
  21. Never have been a fan of Motorkhana's as i think its just to much wear and tear on the car as a whole. But that wouldnt stop me from watching someone else trashing i mean thrashing there car

  23. when you get the carbs sorted you should really get your dizy matched (torque curve) to your cam, that along with correct jetting is quite critical.
