  1. The car has been sold. Thanks to everyone that contacted me with advice or offers.
  2. Looking to sell an unregistered 1973 240Z. It's an auto. Last registered in 1994, so it has spent the last 13 or so years in a garage in Tamworth NSW. It was involved in a very slight accident with a Cordia and then repaired but not resprayed. It is in need of some restoration but was drivable right up until the last time I parked it in the garage (just after the rego ran out). There was no visible rust, on the body, but the passenger floor had a small amount of rust. The seats are more than likely in poor shape. I never took the sheepskin seat covers off the entire time I drove it. It just seemed like I would never get them back on if I did. The dash has some cracking, the previous owner had a rubber mat on the dash that i left in place. Pretty original overall. I not sure what happens to cars when they are left for long periods of time but obviously it could do with a coat of paint and new tyres at the very least. I live in Newcastle NSW and the car is in Tamworth at my mother's house. She is selling the house and this has forced my hand. I always assumed I would get the 240 back on the road, but haven't so far and can't see a time in the immediate future when I will be able to, so the time has come to sell. I'm looking for a buyer that can go and pick up the car without my supervision. The photos I have aren't comprehensive, but they are the only ones I have at the moment. I will try to get some shots of the motor and some better interior shots. Model: 240Z 73 Location: Tamworth NSW Condition: Fair Body: No obvious rust, some rust in passenger floor. Repaired nose and undercoat on bonnet/front quarters. Secondhand front air dam panel in red. Mechanical: Hasn't been started for over 10 years but was running fine. Price and Payment Conditions: Looking for best offer over $3000. Cash or direct deposit. Registration: Unregistered. Contact details: Email or PM me and I'll give you my phone number if you'd like to discuss the car. Thanks for your interest.
  3. Thanks guys, The reason for selling is a longish one, basically, I've had the car for 17 years, but unfortunately it has resided in my mother's garage for the last 13 years. I've always intended to bring the 240 down to Newcastle where I've lived for the last 12 years, but fear of rust and no garage to keep the car, along with the usual distractions, has meant the car has stayed in Tamworth. My mother is now selling her house and the car needs to be moved. As much as I'd love to keep the car, no garage and no need for a vehicle means the smart move is to sell. I'll put the details up in the classifieds. I'd be great to see the car go to someone that really appreciates it. Stephen
  4. Hi All, I hope I'm not breaching forum etiquette by making my first post all about selling a car...? Anyway, I'm looking to sell my Datsun and wanted advice as to the best way to go about it. I guess my options are the classifieds on this site, eBay, or somewhere like Carsales.com. Again my apologies if I'm out of order, but all advice greatlfully accepted. Kind regards, Stephen Frame
