    Building a L28

I have a L28 sitting on my shed floor, the previous owner ran the oil almost right out as the cam journals are cracked but the bottom end is fine. Bore looks spot on. Must have got very hot! Im looking at head work, cam, flattops and everything balanced. I want to know if it is possible to get 180-200 rwhp with 240 carbs? I'm allowing 4-5 k to do the engine re-build but i thought some of that would go on a ceramic clutch. Triples look and sound great but thats a lot extra to buy and setup professionally. If i cant get 180-200rwhp what can i expect from the 240 carbs with the motor rebuilt. any input would be greatly appreciated

  10. starting thinking about doing the ignition switch and thought of this thread.
  11. Have to agree! would like to see a step by step aswell when Dimitri get the time.
  12. can wait to hear this car in real life, im thinking the RB route instead of throwing $$ at my current motor. Would have to be a lot cheaper within reason.
  13. yep "fasterxgn" all lower case, was just on the server and everything is working fine
  14. time out often means wrong password
  15. It's as easy as that, but i should point out our rules although they wont be in full force we would like that all first timers read over them and try to follow them:) http://www.xgn.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=122 Inbetween races everyone might get booted from the server, Our server doc is playing up and we are currently trying to find a fix so we can do reverse grid etc. Later on once we get our grid sizes up we can start to look at mini enduros where 2 people share the one car, Example: what happens is Sulio will come into the pits and then David will press a key and take over the car....pretty nifty hey Also we use Teamspeak if you want to jump on your more than welcome, some guys that dont even have mics just like to listen in, download it and then you an connect to our XGN server through the homepage, you will see a box on the left. There should be a Server admin to register you with the TS server so you can go to the HistorX room. any other questions fire away
  16. This week is Alfa, Cortina, Fiat and Mini all from the TC65 class.
  17. go ingame, and type this into the chat screen, doesnt matter weather it online or offline ISI_BABYFACTORY and press enter, then presto, that will give you 2,000,000
  18. ok first time round when you installed and you put everything in the plugin folder did you take much out of the plugin folder? Did you do a fresh install of rfactor second time round? There is simple solution that i can think of but it probably wont be simple for you. So what i recommend is to re-install rfactor light and then re-install the mod, if that doesnt work your computer is cursed and make sure you download and read the instructions that gives step by step on how to install the mod. The link is further back in this thread. I would say straight off the top of my head your missing a DLL from your plugin folder. If your feeling game my first solutuion is to install rfactor light to a different location and drag and copy all the contents from your plugin folder over to your old install
  19. i put the port number on the back of the IP, If you do the concurrent updates adjustment to the multiplayer file and then once you are in the server you can then add it to your favourites. http://www.xgn.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=302
  20. not everyone will be doing 1.06's mate so dont stress.
  21. our server name is =UGN= XGN HistoricGT you might have to refresh a few times to find it. But once you do add it to your favs.
  22. Did you mean the link to the tracks http://www.xgn.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=2 or the actual server IP? I wil put up the server IP sometime today
  23. Hmmmm shouldnt be putting them in plugin folder. Download the manual http://files.filefront.com/HGTTC+Manual+v102+Englishrar/;11506181;/fileinfo.html Read this it will give you instructions on how to install the mod. BTW extract to desk top and then drag and drop to your rfactor directory, You should be asked to overwrite at some stage, if you arent getting asked to overwirtie your not doing it correctly.
  24. Scott, The historX will install itself to your rfactor directory. Guys if your going to run a few mods from the one rfactory directory make sure you keep the HistorX one as a standalone install Example: C/HistoricGT rFactor normally installs into C/Programs/rFactor If you start putting a few mods over the HistoricGT rFactor then you will start to get mis-matches noline Also to see the servers better goto your Userfolder Example: C:\HistoricGT\UserData\Glen73 in there you will find a File called "multiplayer". Open this with Notepad, then you will see this line about half way down the first Paragraph: Concurrent Server Updates="400" // servers in join list, should be less for modem users, more for broadband (game now automatically finds more if (3 * download_kbps) exceeds this number) Change the 400 to 1000, then this will display all the current servers in operation. Saves the whole refreshing 10,000 times to try and find one server.
