Welcome! Again, nice find with that early zed. What is the chassis number if I can ask? I'm always interested in the chassis numbers to see which low ones are running around. Might be good to ask the Road authority in SA to see if they can give you some info on how many previous owners etc..

For now, just an EOI, but a friend of mine is thinking of selling his 240Z for a good price (offers of around $28k) He has a 72 240Z that has been restored and converted from LHD to RHD (Done by Rob at the Z Factory 8 years ago). Has the original engine bored and stroked with a mild cam to around 2.7 liters with the original 240 Hitatchi carbs. Car is almost stock except for a front brake upgrade (Mustang ventilated discs / R32 Nissan 4 pots). Interior is mint has working A/C and complete with all OEM details and would be hard to fault. Exterior is the Burnt Orange but unfortunately one of the front guards has a small dent caused by an umbrella blown around by the wind. Has factory front and rear spoilers fitted and comes with some aftermarket 15" wheels with near new tyres. This zed is very clean and ready to be driven and enjoyed with nothing extra to do unless you want to modify to your own taste. PM me and I can pass on details. Pics will follow as soon as I can get them!

I'm running a Redline available through Autobarn... around $300ish (many years ago though!) works well for me.

I like the P&N tap and die sets; you can always tell the quality by just holding them. The finish lets you know how cheap they are. Find a good metric set with metric fine included and don't worry about the UNC side of it as you will hardly ever use it.

I'm a big fan of those wheels... had them on every zed I've owned! Looks great!

Only reason I don't go to most shows is beause I don't hear of it beforehand! I attend as many as I can and most times again I'm the only Zed there. I've never heard any negative comments and most of the time get either positive or "thumbs up" from the public. Most common one I get is "such and such I knew had one of those too...beautiful car!". Most time it is a PITA to get the car ready the night before but for a good show, it is worth the effort. Also, everyone knows what they say about Aholes and opinions....

Price is about right and yes, it will be revving on the freeway. Great at taking off but once you hit 100, be prepared to rev. Jason, which year model Rodeo's are the clutch discs from?

Half shaft bolts are M8 but have a large shoulder. I wouldn't use standard bolts and as Jake says get them new from Nissan or I may have some second handies.

For the dizzy plug, check efihardware.com.au or bolted.com.au They both sell new plug kits for various models; that may be a popular one. Or try Z Spares as I know he has a few of those distributors.
