  4. Well done young Squire! To the new owner go the spoils. I can't believe it lasted on here for two months.
  5. Well first decide to sunroof or not to sunroof. That is the question. Maybe brace the roof with some flat and then plug the hole. I have a 2+2 roof i cut up but would have the right curves in it, could cut it more and post it up to you.
  6. I hear it often, "these cars are meant to be driven" i'm of the opinion that all cars are mean to be driven! That's why they have seats and steering wheels, otherwise finish them and seal them off in a glass case like Phar Lap. If i have just one photo of something i have worked on the looks the buiness i'm happy because i know how good it can look. It may not look that good now because i choose to enjoy it.
  7. Be interesting in another color! Or just one color
  8. You can bend the doors but chances are you will crack the paint and/ or welds at the top corners of the skin.

    Door Shims

Maybe i haven't been paying attention but has anyone seen these before?
  10. Maybe it is or maybe the two problems are both connected. Damage to the radiator part of the loom could be causing both. Also check to make sure you have the headlights on the correct side!
  11. A cough sound? That sounds like they have set the camshaft crankshaft timing in correctly! I would take it straight back!!!!!
  12. Did someone say cheap 260Z shell? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/130680578591?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  13. This is the one here. Could do with a light skim but has the flatest surface i have ever seen on a Second Hand flywheel!
  14. Sounds great. I'll help with the disassemble!
  15. I have a really good one i took off an L28 but i'm up in Ballarat.
  16. Looks SuperFly can't wait to see it in the flesh!
  17. Gee i've been here a lot recently. Here's a 240 K http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Datsun-240k-Manual-Coupe-/270955289295?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item3f16319acf But it is a coupe.
  18. Best thing to do is post soome pictures of the rot! It's very hard to quote restorations as it's never the same job twice and time can get chewed up easy. A local restoration shop next to me charges $75 an hour. I replaced floorpans on a 67 Mustang and just welding it in took 2-3 hours and then there's all the prep work before hand.
  19. A 2+2 in Melbourne Vic http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Datsun-260z-s30-1974-/180860744652?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item2a1c23f3cc
  20. I thought 100 square meters was a lot
  21. Great job on the sound deadening looks perfect. What sort of cost did that involve?
  22. Get the measurements of the rail then get it bent up by a local steel fabrication place.
  23. Ha! pilfering my you tube account. Still remember going for a drive in that Zed, suffered badly from wheelspin as i remember and hence the 15 second pass. Sounded great. Maybe someone could stroke it out to 4.4 litre.
  24. Another one! http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/australind/cars/datsun-240z-project-car-parts/359316242
