Ask and thou shall receive Yep the 280Z and 280ZX motor are one and the same. Hopefully are Geelong friend may chime in or i'll see if i can hunt down his user name and you can PM him!
Of of the members here had exactly the same problem down in Geelong (blowed if i can remember his user name but i met him at Torquay Car Show) he obtained some litreature about the 280Z produce in the US which was an S30 chassis fitted with the 2.8 . . . This allowed him to register the car in Victoria.
Gerard Gayle in Ballarat sourced a new one for me for my 260Z. Yell out if you want his contact details i'm sure he could post you one or i could pick up and post!
I get the feeling that one or more of sam's "Bro's" have said some thing about his zed that have made him think twice about it. I didn't help either when i took him for a quick spin in the SR20DET powered 200B i built a while back.
I really like the flares on the 2+2, i think they look better on them than the 2 Seater. Flame on Johnny!
Usually they send them back in an etch primer. If you fill in your location in your avatar someone maybe even be able to point you to someone who does it.
Hey can you post up your jet sizes for the Dellortos? I spent a long time getting to know these carbies and i will be able to help you out with the jetting.
Hey don't worry about it being a 2+2, it gives all the office workers something to read about. Any other plans for the engine? Does it have electronic ignition?
Just like these one's. Ceramic pads and sweet looking rotors. Would balance out your front set Mick and you could sell your R31 rear setup to help finance it.

If you add up the R31 brake conversion on ebay prices including new pads, kits, rotors and having the machining done you'll come in around the $500 mark. You're half way to having an arizona z car rear brake set up delivered.
