  1. Yuk!
  2. Did someone say Roadtrip?
  3. They had one of those on display at the Bacchus Marsh Car Show. Like a hydraulic scissor lift that raise the car about a meter.
  4. The power of AusZcaR! Well done Mighty Mick!!!
  5. Ask Gav! http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,1456.0.html
  6. Seems they have it sorted already, i'll keep you guys updated and thanks for the offer Ash!
  7. Pleanty of able bodied Mechanical L Series guys there so it wouldn't take long.
  8. I just heard that John (Johnboy) has water coming from his breather at the rocker cover and can't start the car. If any Tassie members are around and available to help a stranded Zed Brother they may be in touch but i think biggest problem would be sourcing the vrs kit.
  9. And they're off!
  10. Is it a 2+2 or a 2 seater.? Modified or not? The above two could be a deciding factor and yes as we all know it's a lot harder to change colors if it's not a complete (or nearly complete) strip down and rebuild!
  11. ....and some more
  12. Torquay Sunday
  13. That's great hey. Some really good progress on this build, i imagine that you would be quite proud of your work!
  14. Lame update to follow. . . I got tired of polishing the rocker cover so i went for the wrinkle finish. Now i can just spray clean and go. Thing is if i put 40 Hours 2 grand into this project it would be finished. Be buggered if i will ever attempt to have a project car that is also my daily driver it's just too hard There has been other things i have done to the car since but i really need to finish this.
  15. Um no he didn't ask but after my trip to Croatia late last year i wouldn't be able to afford it anyways. I certainly gearing up for the next one but. As for the accomodation i know how our man Craig rolls so i expected nothing but the best ( i do love ragging on him about it, what's the friggen point of getting a room with a massive spa when all you have is a bunch of guys around you) ooopps i've said too much
  16. Probably petrol i'd say!
  17. Hey it's not like you guys will be staying in 4 and 5 star accommodation only, it's backpackers and tent city so i here
  18. Yes do you happen to have a two wire one? That is the Mk1 screwdriver and there is no info on installing, tuning or any bloody thing else on this ecu. Instead of a tps it runs a vacuum hose straight to the ecu. Really, it does!
  19. Installed some new/ old tricks on Dales Red Zed ready for the trip. Motec Screwdriver ECU Naps Manifold with K&H Air Filter Gareth's old school front spoiler MX5 Seats Should make his journey a smidge more fun! Either that or you other guys will be tuning his ecu every other day
  20. Yes, well done young squire!
  21. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/rb20det-engine-Skyline-vl-r31-200b-180b-Bluebird-/190635573258?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c62c4000a I think you should just do it. Now.
  22. I did the write up on the rear R31 disc conversion that Lurch and i did but previous to that i ran the 7/8 with the hilux conversion and it was faultless. With the rear disc conversion i ended up going to 1 inch because i had a low pedal but the larger master cylinder didn't solve that. I went through the entire braking system and found the it was only an adjustment to the pedal at the box that solved the problem. Perhaps if i had of done this with the new 7/8th i had on there it would have had a similar result but i'll never know now. I'll be fitting a 15/16th some time soon to another Zed with the Hilux calipers but i also fitted the hilux calipers to another club members ride and it to has no issues. I must admit that with mine i do like the harder pedal and the more you push the quicker it stops, was good value at $154 too. Yet another conversion i performed was on a 200B with Hilux calipers and and a H165 diff from a TRX which has rear disc. With the stock 7/8th master cylinder it too has pleanty of stopping power but has a larger reservoir.
  23. You're gunna laugh but i tell you anyways. The MoTeC ecu i'm fitting to dale's car is a Mk1 from 1988 (I think that's when pacman came out) and as such i found little to no information on the wiring sooo i ahd wrongly assumed that the plug was for a throttle position sensor which i found out it's not. The system doesn't even run one instead it has a vacuum lead running directly to the ecu. The plug is for an air temreature sensor. Sorry for the run around guys.
  24. Rust, Pfffft. Check out the Job i did on the Mustang in the below thread. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,9214.0.html You could drop a bolt on the winscreen cowl at the top and it would hit the concrete. That 240Z is salvagable for sure.
