1. Does anybody know which oil pressure sensor/sender to use on the L26? Possibly a fuelmiser brand? That is what repco keeps and is easy for me to get.
2. Engine type: L series Engine Size: 2.6 Tank Size: 60L Kilometers to tank: 310km - ish L/100km: 19L/100km Carburettor type / or injector size: twin round top SU's of some sort
3. Hey, I'm after some carburetors in good condition to suit an N36 manifold on a 1976 260Z The current carby's just aren't work working on anymore.. Thanks! James

5. Latest news on the 260z; I have fixed all the issues previously mentioned. It took me quite some time to change the rear main seal and clutch etc but it has definitely been worth it. I love the heavier, more responsive feel to the clutch now and the fact that it is no longer loosing oil Brake squeal has been completely eliminated with shims... what else... It's all nice and dandy now.. It's also no longer shooting the dipstick out.. sold. Only downside is that I'm getting rid of it. I feel that I've really enjoyed the process but it's time to move on. Possibly come back to working on Z's in the future but after I finish uni i'd say. If anyone wants to check it out on car sales; http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/datsun-260z-1976-13114458?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=3&eapi=2&__N=1246+1247+1252+1282+4294966615+4294966410+900+1216&num=15&silo=Stock&sort=default Ciao
6. These measurements imply the space between high and low to be only 18mm. Can you please confirm? I just don't want to have it wrong. Thanks.
7. It has a rubber hose leading to a catch can from the outlet on the valve cover. I just disconnect the hose from the can to see if it is maybe too restrictive. I'm really hoping its not a ring. It hasn't been burning oil so that's a good sign so far.
8. So it seems the reason it has gone missing is that it gets shot out of the hole while in use... Why does this happen? It has only started now that I replaced the rear main seal.. What to do? Obviously oil sprays out the side too.
9. Thanks for that. Are you sure those are correct though? 222mm seems very short.
10. Hey guys, As you may have seen in the 'wanted' section, I have misplaced my dipstick. I have a replacement for now, just a stick from some other car but I need to cut it to the right length. I was wondering if someone could take theirs out of their L26 and measure it up for me. See the diagram below for the required dimensions;
11. Hey guys, somehow I have misplaced my engine dipstick and it has sprayed a decent amount of oil out the side so far. Just really hoping someone has a spare in Brisbane or somewhere between Brisbane and noosa that I could come collect before Sunday ( in another car ) Thanks in advance, James

Rev limiter

No, it doesn't have any ignition box. So yea, just what it can safely rev to would be good info.

Rev limiter

I don't know a whole lot of specs for my motor.. just the L26, electronic ignition and apparently has a larger cam.. (unconfirmed) How can i safely figure out if it has a limiter?
14. I noticed the same thing when i got my Z. It also has 225's on front and rear. Tyre pressures were at about 28psi. I increased to 32 and it made a huge difference! Also started doing more weights.. that helped too.. haha
15. Update; So it has started leaking a lot of oil from the rear main I believe. I have posted about this in general maintenance if anyone has advice on it. I'm going to replace the clutch and differential while I'm at it too. Upgrade to that LSD!
