  1. I would come but i'll be flying back from Tassie at that time.
  2. Hey what about the strut tops like described in Lurch's thread below http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,2334.0.html I have a farm fresh set about 2 meters from me!
  3. 240Z's and 260Z's are different and the 260Z ones are much harder to find. Postage is calculated automatically but i'm sure it would be much less than that. $1200 would see a fair bit of you're interior redone!

  5. Inflate the tyres close to their Max PSI!
  6. If the black part of the battery was silver it would mirror the motor colour scheme!
  7. Yesterday these were still for sale I googled Triple Dellortos for Sale. Just goes to show that there's more than one way to find bits for your Zed!
  8. Dale knows this fella he's local to us so Melbournites could save on postage. He spent a decent amount of cash on his engine.

  10. Time for a weekly update. The diff came out and was painted then refitted. Exciting hey! Until i have the car completed i will be showing you some photos of the Good, Bad and Ugly that i've taken previously! Oh i forgot to mention why i called the car Lucinda, i call my 2 Seater Oscar and there was a movie called Oscar and Lucinda. Oscar must like the ones with a wider rear end
  11. Welcome young Squire! Some pictures would be a must.
  12. He has the other gear with it! I sent him a message looking for parts when it was listed.
  13. This Fleabay guy had one for sale a while ago that didn't sell. Maybe ask him! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&rt=nc&nma=true&item=130665955579&si=ZJkNUPx57XGjbLhBTgr5aZ%252BahvY%253D&viewitem=&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
  14. Ummmm . . . Filler in a 40 Year old 2nd hand hood? Maybe a bit of a given!
  15. Ummmmm!
  16. Lots of members on here have collectively repaired every section of a Zed so do yourself a favour and get a bunch of pics of the concerned areas. The people on here know these cars back to front and will be able to give you a more knowledgeable opinion.
  17. Pull out the fuel tank? Is this guy serious? I only ever found rust the size of a credit card near the fuel tank and i didn't need to take it out to find it. Also it was not in the chassis, if the wheel well is rusted it rusts from the inside out because of faulty seals around the hatch. Having said that if you are going to repair rust it is a top idea to take out the tank.
  18. I purchased this one around Christmas 2010, it is a Jan 1975 2+2. It cost $650 delivered, was 90% complete and came with 2X L28's. The goal is to complete this car for $5000, it is getting a 302 V8. Originally i swapped my old PA system for a motor which had over $2000 in machining and parts. I have since purchased another because i was missing all ancillaries, this was to be fitted into a Ford but then a 260Z V8 conversion kit came up on ebay which i purchased just for the extractors. Then a few months later this 2+2 showed up on ebay and i snapped it up. Since then it has had the chassis modified and all rust removed, the engine bay is painted and i have also modified the bonnet. It also came with a spare roof. The car will be ready for paint in 3-4 weeks and then reassembled. I will have the car ready for the upcoming Christmas BBQ but it may be in 6 Cylinder format for rego purposes.
  19. Well! I think that is very interesting. Complete 2+2 i would say $1000 in that condition but, it has the dual 32/36 weber setup and a front spoiler. You could part it out for $2500 but would take weeks of work. The carby setup is worth as much as the car because the motor looks shagged. It's only worth what someone will pay for it but cleaned up that carb setup is $500-$700 and the front spoiler $150ish. Do the math!
  20. On the weekend a club member suggested that my secret project was not so secret and well, that got me thinking. Is the greater moment in life not suprise but the anticipation of a single moment.? This is all i can give you!
  21. Almost need to have these reproduced.
  22. Change your fuel filter!
  23. I'll be there bright and early!
  24. You would need custom adaptor plates and then there would be clearance issues. There's a triple manifold on ebay at the moment for $100. I've setup 2 sets of triple Dellortos but as Peter Mac would tell you the standard Su's flow pretty well. I would suggest playing with the air filter if you're after sound. My setup has a cold air box so it muffles a lot of the sound from the triples but you can still tell an audible difference. Unless you're willing to put in $1000+ on building a set of triples i would stick with the Su's.
