Richard, I have a few hours under my belt and for the first time last night felt good about my laps. The learning curve is steep which makes it all the more satisfying when you string a few corners together, then a few laps, then the pb's start to drop. This game is unforgiving - it is a simulation and you do need to treat it like you're driving a real car. You'll figure that out after the umpteenth time you spin off and crash... I am yet to race as I'm getting used to everything still. I'll be giving it a go next week. I expect carnage with all the other newbs on track...

I did ask that question and they were confident everything could be sourced. If not, they would clean up the old ones.

I sent my loom in late last year. They said they had done one in the past but couldn't recall if it was early or late. The reassuring thing for me was that they were aware there was a difference and they did ask for my loom to use as a template. They have also assured me they will replace the date tag. All dealings so far point to an understanding and knowledgeable (of customer needs at least) business. There has been an unusually long delay as they needed to source some info and I told them I wasn't in a rush anyway. I've also been told that they have just completed another 240Z harness. I didn't ask what year that was.

I mocked up a quick something something for you. In no way am I suggesting my design skills are worthwhile nor am I suggesting you should use it, I just killed a few minutes to show you what I meant and I'm sure you can do better. Finally, I think Retro Revival might be a better option. haha

How bad is it Andy? Photos/description? Can you register the car? I would love to see you get the car on the road and enjoy it for a while before you jump in with a full resto which might take you years and put all sorts of pressure on you and your family. It's not a decision you should make lightly and keep in mind that every 'original' car will have rust in varying degrees and they're still on the road being enjoyed by their owners instead of sitting in the garage...

You don't really need them. Just throw in a couple of long bolts on alternating ends at the top of the block and loop some decent rope around them.
