I personally know this seller and the car. He resides down the road from me. He's a good person and easy to deal with. Car is in decent condition and has had a lot of work done mechanically(as mentioned in the add) Paint work is reasonable for it's age, but could do with a respray down the track.

Nissan toyed with the idea of restoring 240Z's at one time back in the 1990's and then reselling them through dealerships. I think it was for the American market only. I may have an article somewhere in my old collection of Z car magazines. Will try and find it this w/end and try and post it up. Anyway, the point I was trying to make is that Nissan still had the tooling back then to produce panels. So you never know what they may offer with this new plan they have.

Have you got an engine crane/lifter handy? If yes, attach a couple of lifting hooks to the head and lift engine of the ground ever so slightly(a couple of mm will do it) This in itself might separate the head from block. If not use a decent size block of wood and hammer, tap block till it separates from head(while it's off the ground)

I thought this thread might provoke some discussion on various governmental policies I really don't get into it that much because I really just couldn't be bothered! But you all make some relevant points and sense! More than what some members of government do!! I heard the one about Aussie gas being cheaper in Japan than what it is here the other day and it made me shake my head in disbelief........I mean WTF is going on.......or maybe Mr Turnbull just wants me to bend over and touch my toes LOL!! What about the taxes on top of other taxes that we pay for our petrol. Or the tax they are applying to cigarettes making them so expensive now. Which, in turn, has opened up the door to criminal organisations to racketeer in that product now because it is so lucrative. The government has had to set up a special task force to deal with the problem, costing god knows what : I could keep going on but I think it's time to show some restraint!! Time to go shopping

As of the 1st of July 2017 low value goods(less than $1000) imported into Australia will be subject to GST. I'm a firm believer in not screwing with a good thing!! But some big business people here in Oz have campaigned the government to pass this law stating that they couldn't compete and it would ultimately cost them money. One of the biggest voices in all of this is Harvey Norman. In the last financial year his company made record profits!! Sorry guys, this whole thing leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, but I promise I won't keep ranting!! So the reason for this thread is to let you all know that if you have any purchases to make from O/S........now is the time to do it And I will never shop at Harvey Norman again!! Kent, So true about some of the shipping charges out of the US. Agno, Have read a lot of reviews about the aftermarket door seals and how they are not a good fit. It's the one thing that bothers me as well. I am presuming that most of the aftermarket kits out of the USA would be made by Precision, so the door weatherstrips would be much the same from whoever you bought them from. Scotts Old Rubber Co must have sold out to Rare Spares. When you visit Scotts web page and click on the product link description, it takes you to the relevant part on Rare Spares site! I also looked into the Kia Sportage weatherstrips. To buy them new from a dealer it will cost $170ea. May as well get OEM! As well as that, because they are not a popular item(Kia don't sell many)there's no stock in the country and it will have to be special order from Korea. The seal is meant to work well as a replacement for the hatch as well. Best bet would be to source them from a wrecking yard somewhere at a decent price.

Have been searching for a weatherstrip kit for my 240Z and thought I would share what I have found so far. Some of the kits are very expensive but contain more seals than others. Then there are others that are more cost effective, but don't have as many seals included. Most kits include seals for the 260Z that are not needed on the 240Z. This is the trade off when you are buying a 'kit'. I'll start with Rare Spares here in Oz.
