It's just a 10mm Uni-Joint - I bought one from my local bearing supplier & fitted it myself. Nothing special.

Correct mate - it was originally Safari Gold. But I won't be going back to that colour, as a Red car with a Safari Gold engine bay will look odd... Yes G-Man - water-jet blasted & all the steel items have been re-plated. No idea on choke size atm. We'll start with 43's & tune from there.

Well I see a crack in the repairs as a start, so if that's their repair work I'd be VERY disappointed. If I produced a repair of that quality to my customers, I'd be out of work!

There is your problem. Was the car an Auto before you the 280ZX engine & gearbox was fitted? If what you say is correct, with the RPM Vs highway speed, I'd say you have a 3.5 or even a 3.36 ratio diff fitted. Fit a 3.9 and the Zed will come alive

A cam won't fix what you're describing. It sounds like there is an engine issue - possibly related to tune. Either that, or you have a tall diff ratio fitted. Do you know what the ratio is? BTW avoid Tighe cams. Order a 733a from Clive Cams in Melbourne.

That's sensible. We can't have the elderly driving too fast on our roads.

For anyone after some 50PHH's: http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/k207600042 Not quite original, but they do come with their original trumpets & a lot of spare jets etc. Price is on the lower end for 50PHH's possibly due them them missing the choke arrangement, but they may get to 500,000Yen...

Use a genuine Nissan tappet cover gasket & you won't need to use any sealant Also, take a straight edge to the tappet cover & make sure it isn't twisted...
