I was a member of the NDSOC, but to be honest I never put much time into going to the monthly meetings. I think I went along once in the whole 12 months I was a member. I did meet Nigel (nr240 - now owned by a qld member sexual_sushi) and Matt Drago and possibly a few others there. I also met the old NDSOC president Matty Freeman who was always very pleasant to me and welcoming. He really liked the idea of Viczcar back in the day and was interested in turning it into a register - much like that of the early Prince Skyline's, I discussed the idea with Sulio. However at the time we felt we were not ready for that kind of thing and very much wanted to leave the status quo. Probably the main reason I didn't get more involved with the NDSOC was that there were not many Zeds in the club at that time. I'm not sure what its like now, but as much as I love other cars my main interest was and still is Zeds. I think though as I've stated many times in the past, the idea of Viczcar / Auszcar was never to step on anyone's toes or piss anyone off. It wasn't to say look how good we are, it was just to promote these cars and meet other owners - 4 years ago there was a huge void, I only knew a handful of zed owners. Now I know a whole community. If other clubs feel (not speaking specifically about NDSOC here) we are outsiders who should be treated with caution that is sad. Afterall we charge nothing for membership and if people have asked me for membership or about track days. I have always told them I am sorry but we are not CAMS affiliated and referred them on to their local state clubs. I am guilty of one thing and that is I still receive the NDSOC emails but I must say I rarely get a chance to read their contents. I would be happy to post about NDSOC or other club events on this site, but I am one person - with limited time. I know a few members have posted about other club events here and I'm more than happy for people to do that. One thing I find really funny though is although the Z nationals is coming up in 2009, nobody has directly tried to get in contact with me about it. (Unless I missed the NDSOC emails - sorry), but you would think that someone from one of the Z clubs in Australia would have bothered to send an email asking us to help promote the event!

Capitalised text does annoy me, especially when the whole post is capitalised. Its SMS speak that really sends me off the edge though lol. Yet I use common internet acronyms like lol and lmao all the time .

If you delete an add it automatically gets put in the expired ads section. Its just a clumbsy way of dealing with the old ads. A limitation of the forum software more than anything.

Good to see so many show up. Honestly who would have thought Sulio that when we started Viczcar back in 2004 that we would have gained so much traction. I can't wait to see what the Photo Line up will be like (nearly 30 zeds in the same place), just a shame I won't be there with my own Z also.

Shame it wasn't the yellow Z in the pic. Would have made a great wallpaper . Not that there's anything wrong with the white 2+2 .

After all that effort, personally I would wait until you can afford to put her on the road. Someone will get a good deal if you do sell it though.

haha Jay, typical Irish person heads straight for Perth. I must have met over 100 Irish people who all tell me they have been to Perth. I have never been myself, I'm sure its quite nice. Not sure about jobs in Australia at the moment as I'm in Dublin, I'm lucky in that the company I work for is still doing quite well over here, so hopefully with that I have some job security. I was going to send you a PM, but I really shouldn't since I'm not even in the country. That damn euro has to be trading so well at the moment . Plus I would probably have to sell my LD28 crank and L14 rods and Triple Mikuni's to really justify it and those L14 rods are not easy to find and the Mikuni's cost me a good $1500 AU once they were imported from the states. The more I think about this the more of a good idea it looks like oooops. I should be buying a guitar, not an RB25

Its an ok documentary but its a very American based history of the Zed. As you know there is lots to tell about the success of the Zed globally and in racing especially in Japan. I take it you still have the 260z? I know you were looking to sell a little while back, change of heart?

Same problem with the door trims. There is an extra handle on the passenger door and the vinyl is created around that pattern. Hence reason I was asking here, figured someone might have a second hand kit in good condition. I would buy new, but I am thinking of going back to Silver (exterior colour) for the Zed in future since this is the colour the car came from factory. Because the car is red, I think a black interior would suit, but in future I think with a Silver exterior a burgundy / redish interior colour would look the goods . Thanks for the links above. Any idea what freight for the bonnet to Melbourne would be?

Hi Everyone, I've been looking for the interior diamond pattern vinyl that covers the trans tunnel, rear wheel strut towers, the area before the stowage area etc. I haven't been able to find one without rips and in good condition for my 240z. I'm not in desparate need of it as I'm overseas, but though I'd put some feelers out and see if anyone has a spare set lying around. Prefer black in colour (beggers can't be choosers though!) While I'm at it, looking for an original drivers side RHD 240z door mirror, any condition. Just needs to be the original. Finally also looking for a heater control panel, preferably unmolested, undrilled cut etc for a stereo / head unit. As I say, not in a rush, but looking for these parts so if anyone comes across them in good condition let me know. Cheers, Gavin.
