  1. Depends on how far they take the cylinder head work. What parts they are using and their quality. It sounds quite reasonable but yeah as Lurch said perhaps a little vague on detail to make a full assessment.
  2. MR240z and XA1973 I've removed some posts as it had become inappropriate and completely off topic to the original thread. I suggest if you wish to continue the game of pictionary do so through PM.
  3. Not sure if anyone has seen pics of it yet, but I saw this today: http://www.turbo.fr/photos-voiture/photos-salon-new-york-2009-nissan-370z-roadster-56706.html
  4. 5. Sounds like a challenge I guess it depends on how much of the fabrication work you can do. If you think its worthwhile doing go for it. As the others have said its been attempted before, my biggest concern would be the way it affects handling. Other people have not gone with all wheel drive, but have swapped in suspension set up from the skyline including engine. If you look on youtube for hugo 240z you can see a Swedish fellow is doing this. There is also a Z in Australia set up like this, a silver one.
  6. No, he lives in the UK and owns the only Fairlady 240zg in Europe if I'm correct? But we're glad to have his wisdow here all the same. I'd love one of these Compe wheels, some day I guess . Funny I just spent less money on a Guitar than this steering wheel is worth and that stung the bank balance.
  7. Good idead, if you need help Sulio let me know. This is a great chance to promote Auszcar.com
  8. There awesome, I want a set . My Recaro's are good but they are a bit wide for my liking in the Zed. These also look period correct .
  9. Nice to have you around Alan. I'm glad you stopped by. I'm still in Dublin and have been to London twice . I've been meaning to get in contact with you, I sent you an email based on what you gave me through PM on Classiczcars.com not sure if you received it or not. Long weekend is coming up, would love to get over to the UK but doubt I'll be able to get there on short notice. Would have been ideal for checking out the Zed.
  10. Pretty sure it is, they came with Triple Webers as standard .
  11. Completely forgot about the Prince GTB's great car, not many left in Australia or the world that's for sure. Got to get a DR30 with the Iron Mask front end and FJ20 too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:LD4C4288.jpg

Glad to see you made it on here. How did you go with that intake manifold in the end? Its Gavin here I came out with the Mikuni manifold for you to measure up. Still overseas though.
  14. LOL I was going to say the same thing.
  15. Hi Craig, let me be the first to welcome you on board. I've had my Zed for about 4 years too and its taken a back seat due to traveling and working OS so I know the feeling. It's hard watching everyone progress with their cars whilst mine sits in a garage back in Australia. It seems since starting this website many Zed owners have come out of the wood work so to speak. Glad you stumbled across us and hope you stick around. Before anyone else asks though, post some pics so we can all see your car. Even if its a work in progress we don't mind.

  20. Reminds me of the Panterra Coupe rear end. http://www.hotrodscustomstuff.com/Pantera-01.html
  21. Great work mate, really good to see it documented like this too. I know how you felt about the rust in the lower sill, but I'm sure your glad you got in there and cleaned it up. Eager to see this progress along, makes me anxious to dive into my own Zed too bad its half the world away though .
  22. RAC Rally Car 1972 Love this stuff.

  24. Where does one find a woman like this? I'd love it if my girlfriend was faster than me at the track would make for a laugh. Might bruise the ego just a tad but if anyone else was giving me a hard time about it, I could always remind them she's faster than they are also lol.
  25. The current system is a total joke, I failed twice when trying to get my licensce not because I'm a bad driver but because my instructor spoke the first time and then argued with Vicroads about failing me, he managed to get me another test in the afternoon but I feel they failed me on principal after that. So we went to another Vicroads office and I passed first time there 96%. Having said all that I think the standard test just proves you can check your mirrors every 15-30 seconds and parrallel park. What everyone should have to do is participate in an advanced driving / defensive course before receiving a license. One of the first things they teach you is that lane switching and being a lead foot will often only get you there 30 seconds to 1 minute sooner and increases your chance of an accident 10 fold. So yeah the current system is a joke and I think people should be retested every 10 years to ensure they can still drive by the rules. Those 2 changes would make driving alot safer than placing 100's of speed cameras everywhere. Incidentally it wasn't till I travelled abroad that I noticed Australia's obsession with Speed Camera's. The only other place where its as bad seems to be the UK. Revenue raising? I think so .
