  1. I might need this, will know when I see the 240z. Would be a shame to turf it.
  2. Bit of an old thread revival, but does anyone have these brakes with 15" Superlites on their Z? These ones here: http://www.viczcar.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=random&cat=10002&pos=-654
  3. Aww I like the lime colour, is knackers cramping your style?
  4. I spoke to a guy at the Datsun Day in Sydney a month ago - I think his name is Chris, from the Sydney Z Club. He gave me a flyer with his phone number on it (0408 869 9878), mentions Huge Z Bits Sale At Moorebank. Lots of 280zx, Z31 & Z32 parts including bodyshells, doors, engines, gearboxes, diffs, front 1/4 cuts, rear quarters, wheels, brakes, suspension, trim, instruments, exhaust etc.. (this bit is underlined lol) from more than 20 zcars. Monster moving sale... I'm tempted to call myself now.
  5. Hooray progress, good to see more rusty zed repairs done right. I'm going to be in the same rusty boat as you shortly.
  6. Hello sir, I am from Saudi Arabia, I very interested in buy your Datsun 240K skyline. This model very popular in 1970 with my father and father friends. Now none left because 'barning of tyres' is what they used this model for. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/ingleburn/cars-vans-utes/1974-datsun-240k-coupe/1033688844 At $30k I guess that's the market segment they are targeting. PS: I actually received a similar email like that over Youtube many years ago asking about buying my 240z - guy was in Saudi Arabia. Nice guy but wasn't going to sell my Z .
  7. Good, I am looking forward to it.
  8. Hey mate, I just saw your build thread now, and videos on Youtube awesome work on the Z. I must admit I love the sound of a V8. As someone who just returned from living 6 nearly 7 years abroad, I am so glad I stored my Z. I really missed working on it while living abroad, as much as I enjoyed travel. I had that yearning to do something constructive with my hands. Thankfully my mum was cool about having the Z in the garage all that time. It sustained a knock or 2, which was a bit annoying but the paint wasn't perfect to start with. I'd recommend keeping it mate and you may find you'll be able to come back to it in a few months to a year or so away. You'll be really glad you kept it, trust me. I was going to ask where you live as it seemed like you had plenty of space, but I noticed under your name it says Bathurst, I was out that way on Saturday and it's a really lovely part of the country. I took some photos of my 'other' car just as dawn was coming.
  9. Nice for sure, too bad you want a 240z George and not a 260z huh?
  10. Nathan, are you still making these mate? I just bought an early 70 Z and I think I'll need some of these in the not too distant future.
  11. I'm not sure, I'd say it's worth viewing to determine yourself if interested though? The sunroof and auto won't help, but the recent repaint is a concern if there is no documented evidence to suggest the rust was properly removed and cut out. However it does look pretty original and tidy i.e not messed about with (bar sunroof) and I think it could make an excellent car for someone looking to get into a Z without investing lots of time on restoration first. Converting from auto to manual isn't a hugely expensive exercise and you would easily spend a lot more fixing structural rust. So if it's a solid car then it's very well priced in my opinion.
  12. Just a thought, but perhaps consider a Vintage Air System? http://www.xenons30.com/files/DatsunZ_Vintage_Air_1000.pdf

    MUST DO SOMETHING

Looks like a great day, nice looking Zeds.
  14. My guess is they are doing an engine swap. Selling of bits to fund it perhaps?
  15. New owner is selling on engine and brake kit. On Gumtree.
  16. I have an old 260z air con compressor I think. Not sure if it works though, never tested it.
  17. LOL, I can relate, which is kinda sad. I have the 72 240z the 95 FD RX-7 and now the 70 240z all needing various things done to them. At least 2 of them run I guess and 1 of them is absolutely rust free .
  18. Hi mate, You'll be happy to read these threads. Here is what I believe is your car. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,3987.0.html and here is what I believe is his other project. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,7394.0.html
  19. I was really disappointed also. I loved District 9 and I thought the concept of Elysium was awesome, could have really gone further into the ideas and concepts but they just glazed over it and went straight into yet another action film.
  20. It boggles the mind why someone would take those kind of short cuts doesn't it? I mean why spend 700 + on rubber seals when you've bogged the body to the tilt? I guess people get sick of spending money to do things right.
  21. Mate I really like that green I've seen a 2 seater with flares and that colour looks ducks nuts. I like the patina idea also. Rb25 should be fun. Nice wheels also. They come with the car? I saw a mint 2+2 in that hue many years ago. Looked fantastic.
  22. That's special light weight material, not to be confused with body filler. And you were worried about throttle bodies, you have plenty of work to do here I'd say. Then again who am I to talk?
  23. Look what I've done to you. Miss out on the 240z and now you buy a 2+2. I understand though I want to save then all. Not just Zeds but Classic Japanese cars. Sometimes I wish I was Jay Leno. .
