This is why my red car hasn't been pulled apart, ignorance is bliss. Having said that I think it's had a pretty good life in a garage for most of it and the visible spots of rust coming through haven't changed in the 14 years I've owned it. That thread is what scares me when looking at many 'rust free' Z's advertised for sale. Sure it can look good on the outside but once you strip it back you find a whole lot of 'previous repair' work that wasn't done to correct standard.

my 72 hasn't had a bumper on the back for years. I never had a problem, when I first went for a RWC they wanted the stock bumper back on because the exhaust was protruding out the back and it was a pedestrian concern if they walked past or around the rear of the car and got burnt by exhaust tips etc.. If your exhaust is flush with the rear of the car I don't think this would be a concern.

That turn signal switch might need some modifications because it's designed for LHD and the switches are opposite sides to RHD. I'm sure it's totally do-able though.
