  1. The buttons cracked with age, the 5 speed buttons are rare compared to the 4 speed ones you find on eBay in the US, but even they are harder to find now. Nissan made some replacement ones years later but the wood texture and shape was slightly different to the original. I managed to find a couple of 4 speed ones and just flip the buttons out for the 5 speeds I got off Taylor. Taylor can chime in if he likes, but I believe he was trying to improve the finish further before selling them. They have minor imperfections but I was happy with them still. 72 240z 70 240z Details here. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,14508.msg154428.html#msg154428
  2. Not sure if I should merge the other 3D Printing Discussions into 1 big thread? http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=13500.0 http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=14893.0 http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=14185.0 But just found this Ted Talk showing a new method of 3D printing.
  3. After the advice in this thread, I'd be surprised if anyone still wants to to this.
  4. Try message member "Taylor" on here. Although he may not have any left. He did some reproductions a while ago.
  5. Roof Turret looks like it might still be salvageable. Which is nice.
  6. haha that's saying something.
  7. Yeah POA or Price on Application, if you're in the market for one of these I'd suspect you have a rough idea of their worth. The last 432 went to auction for $253,000 USD. http://www.rmauctions.com/lots/lot.cfm?lot_id=1072399 The modified 1 is harder to price and the barn-find will really depend on it's condition and rust, it's history and originality. I do wonder where the proper wheels went though, looks like when it was moved they swapped the wheels. It should have the same wheels as the first green 907 car. Yes except maybe the white 1? Who knows what the asking price on that is. Which green 1? There is 2 different ones.
  8. Staggered offset in reverse? Front's look wider than the rear's.
  9. Go for it, don't know if you've seen this thread? http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,15615.0.html But I certainly felt a bit better after venting about his antics. I've commented on some of his videos on Youtube, but he always deletes my comments later .
  10. Go RB30 for the LY Cross flow head look.
  11. I'm pretty sure it was modified early 2000s if memory serves correctly.
  12. Yeah don't have any spares but buying over the internet something small like this comes at a Premium for postage etc.. Best to call a local specialist who may have 1.
  13. The next PS30 has been modified quite a bit. Which I wouldn't mind on a regular S30z but on a PS30 seems a bit sacrilegious http://www.goo-net-exchange.com/usedcars/NISSAN/FAIRLADY_Z/700060083430150324001/index.html
  14. This PS30 piqued my interest though as it's more of a 'barn find'. http://www.goo-net-exchange.com/usedcars/NISSAN/FAIRLADY_Z/700070617930150123001/index.html It looks like PS30 00249 ? But hard to determine for sure.. Hope it comes with the original 432 magnesium wheels and not the Watanabe's.
  15. Couple of rare PS30s for sale. http://www.goo-net-exchange.com/usedcars/NISSAN/FAIRLADY_Z/700060083430150627001/index.html No much more info to be gleaned from the ad, but I love the Green 907 hue and Kobe Seiko wheels. Interesting that it's missing headlight covers though. Looks like grubby lee's might have been trying to get his dirty paws on it. I notice it has the later style seats, I wonder if the reclining seats were an option for the 432? Or incorrect seats for this year / car?
  16. Kakimoto valve cover. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=13265.0
  17. Wrong soundtrack, needs more of this. haha. I actually prefer the non-music themed version.
  18. Overdrift, short film spoof of F&F franchise.
  19. By asking your looking for vindication from a bunch of biased car enthusiasts. What does the wife say? PS: Tasmania could use the tourism boon - not much happens over there, allegedly.
  20. Appreciate that David, but wait until I've uploaded it first. I was going to ask here if anyone was planning to bid on it but thought that maybe drawing attention to it would drive the price up further - hence I asked after the auction only.
  21. Hack your Jeep Yo! http://www.wired.com/2015/07/hackers-remotely-kill-jeep-highway/
  22. I was the same in that I didn't like a lot of the old Australian made cars, now of course as they have left the roads I'm happy to see 1 on the road again. Near me a neighbor has 1 of these. Toyota Corona. I still remember being driven to School in this car. Don't see them on the road anymore...
  23. Just stumbled across this site. http://www.retrojdm.com/ The owner has been scanning brochures, manuals, repair manuals, I might send him a couple of things to scan if he's interested.
  24. Yeah sorry anti-spammer settings on the forum are designed to keep spammers from posting nonsense on the forum, but they also make it more difficult for less computer savvy members to figure out how to join and get started. I'm working on migration to new software at the moment and I'm sort of hoping it will be more user friendly.
  25. David, I'm the bastard that outbid you. I will scan it to PDF and share with the community. That is 1 of the reasons I bought it. I didn't want it to disappear. Not sure it has any value to S30z racers. But it does show a lot of cool period parts.
