  1. Another angle of the same car, looks like a 70 and not a 71... has the 240z rear pillar badge.
  2. Nein, you need a TV subscription for some US cable networks... So won't work.
  3. Datsun 260 Z 1977 Wallsend, NSW $20,000 (negotiable) https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/wallsend/cars-vans-utes/datsun-260-z-1977-for-sale-/1181793086 "Been in garage for 21 years Very good 6 cylinder twin carbies Good interior, all there Call for more information"
  4. Compliance plates shouldn't be an issue since not all S30Z's had them, especially not 240z's. My 72 240z doesn't have 1. The other engine bay ID plate can be made/reproduced. Already on there buddy, I saw it when first posted on Facebook..
  5. Anyone know how to get access to this show JDM Legends on Velocity in the US? https://www.velocity.com/tv-shows/jdm-legends/ From the FAQs https://www.velocity.com/general/faq Q. Can I access Velocity.com while outside of the U.S.? At this time, Velocity.com is only available on U.S. domestic Internet services. Boo!
  6. We don't know the number of this 1 or if it still is with us, but here is an early 240z, either WA or SA plates? Anyone know it? https://www.facebook.com/groups/842236972535345/permalink/1759419147483785/
  7. It's ugly as sin, I keep thinking EA Falcon tail lamps flipped upside down and tinted. This is what Steve Jobs said about LSD. In Steve's case he went onto build Apple products, but I guess everyone's experience and the results are different. This car is a good example of when LSD goes wrong. It's the Australian version of the Primadonna 240z. It would probably look right at home in the next Mad Max film however!
  8. I've seen this style of rear flange 71B box fitted to a Fairlady Z (72 model w/L20A). Not sure if it was original or not however.
  9. I think it just has custom tail lamps..
  10. Be a shame considering it's an early car..
  11. Sounds like a good T-shirt..
  12. HS30 01014 - Spotted in QLD. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10215753760700809&set=gm.1933442320008356&type=3&theater&ifg=1
  13. Try eBay and put NOS!!!!! In your listing title. I suspect only a couple of hundred bucks. But you just never know..
  14. You can learn a lot here. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/13091-why-you-shouldnt-buy-anything-from-edward-scissorhands-lee/
  15. Hmmm borderline, patching the naca duct will probably be harder than the corners. Depends what they are going to quote you to fix the existing bonnet? Probably quicker and cheaper to replace, but reproduction bonnets need a bit of tweaking to fit correctly (in my personal experience).
  16. I think MCM were a little creative with their story and reasoning. I don't doubt there is asbestos checks, but they could have solved those issues. Really they wanted to put an RB26 in it, but needed to justify dumping the original engine.
  17. Another Heart Break cars import. Advertised as a "240z" when it's nothing of the sort... I can't help but think this has Mr Lee's involvement, same cars. Same kind of tactics and we all know about Leopards...
  18. Yeah sad to see, how bad is it?
  19. How bad is the existing bonnet?
  20. On a 1969 SuperSix with L23 motor. Be good to have these stickers
  21. Yeah you're right, it looks like the plate for the brake booster and steering etc.. cover that area on a RHD car. So probably won't be too useful to me. Feel free to PM me re: roof however as I'd be interested in importing it.
  22. That's why I feel the Walkinshaw is a waste of money - never been driven or registered? How could you resist? If you're buying it as an investment you probably don't want to put more km's on it. So kind of defeats the purpose for me. I recall when I got my 72 240z back in 2002, I was talking to a mechanic who worked at Tucker Rd Motors (in Bentleigh), he was doing the road worthy certificate on the Z. He told me, he had a Walkinshaw VL and sold it around $25k because he got hassled by the cops all the time in it. I'll bet he regrets selling it now. Countach would have been a cool experience.
  23. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f264790690 1972 S30 (there is document) restoration base 700,000 yen start. Looks like a Fairlady Z-L to me. Buy it now is around $11,500 AUD. Looks like someone has already done so!
  24. That moment when you take the car to the dippers and realise there is no car under all that paint.
  25. 1969 was shown at Tokyo motor show - and I believe just a few sold in that year. but really early 1970 is when most took delivery.
