Hi Tom. We had a 15km tail wind and my revs where up 500rpm. But I'll put that down to the wind pushing me. The wing was fine, still good rear end grip. Was May be worth 200rpm .

Got a few conservative laps in at Sandown yesterday after being pulled off for noise 4 times. It was very slippery especially on these stupid 6 year old R888s, track was cold and damp in places but the car ran really well. Finished running the new motor in and was able to do some more tuning. Best time was 1:25.8 - 2.2 secs behind the fastest time set by a pretty serious crummydoor. Pretty chuffed with the motor, man she really goes.

Video is after winding the boost to 18lbs and maxing out the 750cc injectors.https://youtu.be/TOeK-wYiwJM

My Pb at Challenge Bathurst 2016 was a 2:38.882 perfect weather and a fantastic weekend, here's the lap on YouTube

The car has been dynoed 3 times in last couple of years with figures of 187 rwhp and 184 ft-lb of torque, 189 rwhp and 187 ft-lb and finally just before Bathurst i fitted bigger injectors 189 rwhp and 225 ft-lb out of a under 3000cc L28

The car weighs about 970kg with all fluids but no fuel, she was the fastest Z with a L or RB series engine there over the 4 days

My other PB's over the past few years but with a different engine at Morgan Park

Circuit B 41.685

Circuit D 49.288

Circuit E 1:10.240

Circuit K 1:27.360

Lakeside Park Raceway 1:02.220

That was a great Bathurst time David, now as the star everyone will be gunning for you this year  >:D

Oh yeah i already know that everyone will be gunning for me   :)  and seeing the field of amazing Z's and drivers entering in Group Z this year, my fast time will surely fall, i just hope i am able to improve on my time just a little   ;)

New PB for Sandown 1:20.8. Only got in 2 sessions with new suspension settings, tires and brake pads so didn't really get time to change anything except tire pressures. One lap into the second session the alternator blew and I didn't notice the light. Looking at the logging afterwards I'm lucky I didn't blow the motor as lambda was reading 1.2 at 20 pounds boost. There was just an odd misfire every 20 or so seconds which happened coming out of corners so I was thinking fuel surge. Phew!

Thanks Gordo. Its great to have some grip again, have been struggling with Toyo RRRs for too long, they just never worked for me.

Didn't get time to fiddle really, front temps showed way too much camber, new heavier spring rates felt great but brakes are now a bit over worked. I was braking early and not riding over the ripple strips through the kink as much as usual so I reckon there's a lot more to be had once I get used to the extra grip.

Hankook Z214 C5 (medium compound) 225/50/14. Not much choice in 14" these days but so far these are pretty impressive.

Quick car and driver, would be good to see it in action.

Did a round of the Vic Super Sprint Championship at Sandown on the 11th of June, new PB 1:17.66, perfect conditions, only got 2 runs in due to many stoppages, I think there is another half a second with more track time.

Howdy dropped by, it was good to catch up and have a bit of a chat.

Man, that's fast Sinisha. You must have the old girl sorted now. Now back to the Island to have another crack at your PB down there.

Yep was good to catch up Sinisha, been a while. Those times are very impressive, can't believe how quiet your car is now. Doesn't seem right that such a fast car is so whisper quiet. Well done.

Hi Gareth, sorry for the slow response but I have not been able to post for a few days, yes I have the lap on video, will edit some data and put the video up on the weekend.

Warwick Farm - 1:45.7

HP - 48.3 (Dyno = John Schroder  - Town & Country Garage, Hornsby)

Formula V?

FF would be a little higher in HP figures?

Took a day off to spend tuning at Winton, Lambda probe packed it in and I nearly burned the car up after a fuel line split (the only piece I didn't replace about 2 years ago literally 50mm long) but got the boost control sorted and managed a PB of 1:33.79 which is about 2 seconds better than way back in 2003. Was on the way into 32's when we got red lighted. I need better brakes, g forces are pathetic under brakes, though I didn't bleed them before I started.

Not exactly "racing" but I finished up the week long Trek4Kidz charity rally on Saturday in Forbes and the zed performed brilliantly. After 6 days driving and 7 days away (Wednesday lay day), was pipped by one minute to get second overall. Around 3500kms from Nowra to Forbes via Canberra, Cobram, Mildura, Renmark, Hay and finished in Forbes. The zed came back in one piece (compared to last years roll) and only a few issues. Kangaroo strike (zed 1-roo 0) and a stone hit the fuel tank (stone 1-zed 0) - but the amazing fuel tank putty worked brilliantly. Some pix of the zed and the route. And from all of this, the group (less than 70 people) raised a bit over $220k for Starlight. Bring on 2018
