Riceburner Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 That's awesome. I'd like to see some video of it in action Quote
Vic Dyno Hire Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Hey Gareth, Ive pulled most of the vids off youtube, but this is one of the Datsun 1200 club dyno day at my place. Mine is right at the end of the vid(incase you want to save a bit of time). No track action, but a bit of a look at the car anyway. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted December 20, 2013 Moderators Posted December 20, 2013 Thought I have seen your Datto before...was it in Race Magazine a few issues ago? I remember the publisher Neil talking about it when he came to visit our work. Quote
Riceburner Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 I remember it from the nationals at easter, very cool and FAST Quote

Moderators PB260Z Posted February 7, 2014 Moderators Posted February 7, 2014 Awesome Lap , well done Quote
260DET Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 That's some GRIP, baby...! Fixed Looked at that video a few times now, interesting how the Z tends to go into terminal push at the grip limit. You still have the rear ARB Sinisha? The setup looks great, particularly for a high powered car which would tend to oversteer stupid and go bush at the limit. Quote
redrbzed Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Hi Richard, The car will understeer a little if I get the entry wrong on slow corners like Honda and MG, if I get the initial turn in right then it is neutral. High speed corners it develops a slight aero induced understeer, this allows me to use a lot of throttle coming off corners without the oversteer, I like it this way because it gives me confidence to push my limits. Yes I still run the rear ARB, this is how I adjust the overall balance. Both the ARBs are adjustable. Quote
260DET Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 If I ever make PI again those are the lines I would try to follow, particularly T1 and 2 and T9, 10, 11 and 12. My favourite PI video. Quote
redrbzed Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Hey Richard, I should take you on as my publicist, I've never had so many views so quickly. cheers, Sinisha Quote
260DET Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Do I get 10% of your YouTube bucks Sinisha? As your publicist No, you have done what I have tried to do and sort of accomplished a bit at Lakeside, which incidentally you should try, seriously. Great circuit, you would love it. If I ever have another go at PI it would have to be a balls out go, easy to say of course. General question to anyone qualified. How do you find the high speed limits of your car? Practically with details. Low speed is easy, what some don't seem to (want) to understand that high speed aero is another world. A fast and furious world. Quote
Agno Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Raced Sunday at Winton with CSA/Skyline Nationals. Perfect weather and a new PB of 1:47.4 Still a stock L28 with 40mm Dellortos, lowered suspension and shagged out street tyres Quote
Vic Dyno Hire Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Wakefield- 1.05.6. Nov 2014. Datsun 1200 coupe, AO50's, A12 turbo. My first time to Wakefield and it took me a long time to find my way around. I was still learning at the end of the weekend! Good fun tho Quote
redrbzed Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Went to Phillip Island last weekend with a few other Zed drivers, stayed at Gordo's place Saturday night which made Sunday a lot easier. We competed in the Victorian Super Sprint event, it was good to catch up with all the boys again. I managed to do a 1:41.4 which was a PB. hmd 1 Quote
Gordo Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Great time Sinisha , your putting those times down with rear wheel drive and only 245 tires. Bloody good effort. Some Guys with full on race cars and same power don't get that, Evan the four wheel drives. Haha. Well done mate and the track temp didn't go over 15deg. Quote
TomC18 Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Very impressive on a cold day - maybe good for turbos! Good to see you getting the grooved slicks working too Gordo and into the 1.46's again. Do you think the new smaller wing helped? Revs higher on the straights, but still not too taily? Quote
