Looking for those prepared to commit to a group buy for the high quality Harrington Group stainless 240 - 260 bumpers.

Currently there is mossy, oldZman and myself who are going to buy so we qualify for the 3 set price $991. See below for more details in the response to an Email I sent Harrington.

Deliveries will have to be individual to keep under the customs $1000 threshold.

Anyone interested should let me know within the next week or so.

Cheers.

David

Thank you very much for your email.

We do indeed offer discounts to clubs; please find below our trade prices for our Datsun bumpers:

PRICES IN AU$

TRADE PRICE

Incl. air shipping

1 set price set AUD 1,055.00

3 set price set AUD 991.00

6 set price set AUD 911.00

Prices are exclusive of import duties and taxes.

Prices are subject to change without prior notice. This offer is valid for 30 days after receipt.

Prices above include DHL shipping to Melbourne, Australia.

Our 240Z bumpers set includes a front bumper, a rear bumper and 4 rubber corners. You will find a selection of pictures below this email.

Our bumpers will be fit the 2 seater only. They are suitable for all EU and JDM cars up to 1978 and US cars up to 1972. Our bumpers will not fit US cars from 1973 onwards.

Our bumpers are shipped directly from our premises in Vietnam; shipping from Vietnam to Australia only takes 3 to 4 days. Tax and duties remain at your charge. However, I believe that Australian customs will not charge you for tax and duties if the declared value of the package is under AU$1000.

Of course no problem to ship the bumpers with a low amount invoice.

The good news is, we do have a few sets in stock ready for shipping within a week.

We accept bank transfer, credit card and PayPal as payment methods; you will find all the details below.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any question.

Best regards,

Vivian Baretge

Count me in; just purchased a zed project and was looking for a front bumper, but 2 matching stainless will be better, I can always sell the original rear one.

I'll send you a PM with my contact info.

Wowsers they are expensive surely you could get a set rechromed locally for less than that?

They're not really that dear, by the time you deduct, say, $150 for the rubber strips; so you get both bumpers in SS which is a better quality material than chromed steel IMHO & they won't rust in our lifetimes; then add shipping back in.

The Taiwanese-made repro chrome front bumpers on eBay cost around 400 bucks each.

I'm tempted but I prefer the period over-riders than not; the pommie bumpers with rubber plugs in the holes where the over-riders should be bolted on look a bit nasty; I presume the SS ones won't have those holes; I don't know if chrome over-riders on SS bumpers would look wrong or not, the materials do have a different appearance.

David, on Harringtons ebay listing, the item location is UK, can you ask if they stock some in the UK?, if so, i will be interested, up here i will be busted in tax if it's shipped from outside of EU

Gilltech, ask them if they will make some overrides, i know they make some for the roadster.

I have a 2+2 so would be interested in a front only. However I want one with no holes drilled as I don't want the rubber bits attached.

No stock in the UK at the moment, but can send a set of Datsun 240Z bumpers to Denmark for 832€ including DHL shipping and all tax and duties.

So looks like we have a fair bit of interest.

The following people have either posted or sent PM's. All in Melbourne except those noted:

mossy

oldZman - Sydney

Mooa42 - Bendigo

roastbeef - Sydney

V8Datto

LC260Z

handsandwich

garvice - front only, no holes. Brissy

katokid

So we have enough to qualify for the lowest price but I need to ask about shipping to different locations as their price is based on one shipment only.

The other catch is the declared value....they have stated that they are prepared to ship the bumpers with a low invoice price ($120 per set) so the shipment will be tax-free but this doesn't always work out as Ive just found out from experience....Ive just imported some parts from the UK and the supplier nominated a very low value but Customs cracked it and placed a much higher value on it which meant I had to pay a heap of duty and GST....and you cant dispute it. So there is a risk with undervaluing.

garvice, theyve told me they now do 2+2 rear bars. Same price as the 2 seater bars as a set. Do you want front and rear now?

For the guys in Sydney they've quoted the 1 set $1055 cost shipped to Sydney as its the freight costs that determines the price...the more they can ship together the lower the cost. If you can get a 3rd part in Sydney you will be eligible for the 3 set price of $991 or it may pay to ship them all to Melbourne and then freight to Sydney. Same for garvice in Brissy. Let me know what you want to do.

Tony in Bendigo, yours will have to be picked up or freighted from Melbourne. You cool with that?

I'm going to order mine with no holes as well. Will still get them to supply rubbers in case I don't like the plain look.

I'll have to have a think about it mate, didn't expect that they would have a rear bar available as well.

Can you ask about the construction of the 2+2 bar. Are they one piece or do they have to do them in the three piece standard configuration?

If I was going to go with them I would be after one piece bars front and rear without any holes.

Looks like it would be cheaper to get them all sent to one spot then freighted within australia.

$991 + 82 in shipping to Denmark

That will be 1073,- + 10% import duty = 1180.30 + 25% sales tax = $1475,- delivered in Denmark, sorry but i'm out.

I just wonder how it can be they list them as being in a UK locationwhen they are not.

Anyway, thanks for asking.

Chris
