I've made Sulio a personal offer to buy it off him, with the intention he would buy it back off me in 6 - 12 months.

However I'm not sure this would be an acceptable arrangement for Sul.

i dont know Sulio personally  BUT i can understand what he is going through as i have been there and had to sell 3 zeds back then, wish i had a great bunch of guys like this to help me then

I get the feeling as much as Sulio loves his Z he is looking forward to restoring another down the line and is ready to part with this 1 for the right money. He may change his mind when he discovers the hassle of selling a car and getting the money you want for it. Dealing with time wasters / dreamers and the like.

 

I think he should keep it for the simple fact that if he sells it, he'll be looking for ages to get the right Z again.

Yeah, I concur with Gav, I think when Sul is ready he'll enjoy building another and may also buy something other than a Zed, the rescue efforts while noble may commit him to something that currently isn't in line with his future plans.  That being said, I am very proud to be part of this Z community that would rally so quickly behind a member, someone once said 'If you want to see peoples priorities look at what they spend their money on' yes we spend it on Zeds however this thread shows that people are the priority...well done

Did yu have it insured for agreed value? I've got mine down for $20K with GIO. I wonder if they would pay that figure out though in a worst case scenario, you know how insurance companies are.
