reverendzed Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Well I guess i'm destined to be the savior of 2+2's! driving to work this afternoon (2 Km from home) I just happened to spot out of the corner of my eye a zed parked in a garage with the roller door just up high enough to see the unmistakable front end! I couldn't help myself I turned around and went back, knocked on the door to introduce myself and met the owner. he informed me that he had bought the car with the idea of turning it into an electric car but had lost interest. He'd already sold the motor and transmission but everything else was intact and in 7/10 condition and apart from my Revzed 2+2 is one of the cleanest I've seen (rust etc). As a joke i said to him that if he had really lost interest then give me first offer on the car if he decided to sell, didn't take him long to take me up on the offer and it ended up I walked away with another Zed after an offer and a handshake with pickup scheduled for Thursday. Uhmm...now that will make 4 2+2's (including parts car) and thanks to a wonderful understanding gorgeous wife (who may read this post) I am allowed to 'save' this one!...however I don't think I'll push it much further! So I am on the lookout for a motor...L26/28 running, I think I've got everything else...I'll post pics soon! Rev. Quote
George Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 nice one. your wife must be really understanding. where and how do you find one of those rare models? Quote

reverendzed Posted February 1, 2009 Author Posted February 1, 2009 Don't really know yet bro! Just couldn't let it go, I guess I'll get it home and make some decisions! I've got to get the 74 2+2 finished, all of the welding is done, everything is at spray putty stage except doors which I will hopefully finish this week. I may end up having to sell one...guess i'll just wait and see! Quote

RBZ 260 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Hahaha @ the 'Shopping List' on the door. I've been tempted to do that on my cars but instead have: Thrust JUNk Greedy A'poxi etc... what u on about lurch? it looks cool only thing is its bit gay (not that there is anything wrong with it ) if u have stickers and dont have the stuff to back it up. in reality those brands $hit all over any other brand that yanks or oz can come up with. just from experience. Dave just whack heaps of neg camber drop it till chassis just clears the ground, big black closthes line spoile, paint the bonnet black add few more stickers on the windscreen and we have a Classic D1 DRIFT car. YAY hehehehehehehehe on serious note. looks like i real good buy. so what are the plans for this one? big rims slammed to the ground? no engine so good canditate for a monster! hmm RB26DETT Quote
