I agree with everyone else, it definitely needs the wing to 'complete' that rear end :)

 

I've also been looking for a wing and have been quoted ~$255 for a 432 style wing from Japan delivered (fibreglass). Would definitely like to know of a source locally.

Is the 432 style one like this with the ribs and if so could you let me know where.

I think I found my missing hp. The boost gauge line had a big crack in it right near the manifold.  It has now lost its overly large torque hole. This thing is going to be nuts once I get the 4:3 gears in it. :)

Here is an update on my future plans. I am going to build an rb24det motor for my zed.

There are several reasons why I want to do this

One being is that I already have an spare Rb20det To build it from.

Secondly, it would make it a true 240z again.

Thirdly, just because it's different!

 

From what I have read, To build one you need and Rb26dett crank and rods With 4ag pistons

And a little machining to get all to fit

 

This Will not happen for a year or two yet because I have to sell my Datsun 1200 first. 

But in the meantime I will be doing research and collecting bits for the Job.

I put my 4:3 LSD in today. Ohh my Lordy Lordy lord. Now it empresses me. I still can't get the smile off my face.

I need to get this thin to a track where I can rely try it out.  ;D

Awesome Mick, told you 4.3 will make u smile.

Just dont drop the clutch hard at 6000rpm from stand still they tend to do almost instant 180deg turn if not quick enough.

I thought it had been longer than 6 years Ben. I have had mine close to 8 years and can remember coming to see you not long after I bought mine and yours was out of action then

Nah mate, she retired hurt with head gasket failure in June 2006...

(Self inflicted - boost > fuel delivery)

 

BUT... the engine is back together, with a fresh P90, and the R200 LSD is in too. But I digress, this thread is about your top effort. Keep it up and I look forward to a ride.

Arr ok. 

Any way after taking my zed out on the freeway I think I might need to have my diff rebuilt.

Under acceleration it is fine

Deceleration it has an intermittent grumble.

Free rolling with the clutch in it has a constant grumble

This all happens at speeds ubove 80 kmh

 

Might check the wheel brings first because my old diff started doing it last time I took it or but not as loud

So maybe it's not actualy the diff but a bad wheel Bering.

The LSD does have a slight bi of back lash though.
