They just forget to mention us on the Big Island. Have a Xmas BBQ where we could get as many Vic Zed's in a row as possible. 2. If the Threadbo run goes ahead, then we could do the same photo. Take 40 odd cars and would be empty. I'd be prepared to fire up a bbq in a factory around the cnr. if needed. Ash, Dimitri, help me out here- Central? no one too bother you? in 2 or 6 weeks time on a Sunday? Start with an informal shoot for a first off and see what happens for another time?? And the Thredbo trip will be run seperately and we can easily do it again if enough people turn out there. Having said that only 3 people have replied to say they want to come to Thredbo. Then I read here we could get maybe 4 people from ACT. Well unless you reply to the other forum and tell me you want to join in with the Thredbo trip then I won't know. :-\ If I don't know and only get 3 reply's then this trip won't happen. So please respond to the proper Thread guys, then I will get the ball rolling if enough interest. As ffor the photo shoot. Hmmm not sure about on the median strip in Chranes Road. A bit public. Not sure how some low cars will go getting up the gutter medium strip. No where for a BBQ on site and it maye even be illegal! Parking fines etc. We should be able to find a park somewhere if you didn't want to go to Wandin (Lilydale). I don't see how a 30-60minute drive would be a hassle for most people. Another good idea would be to take a heap of photo's and then pick the best ones for a "Zed Calendar for next year. That would be pretty cool for everyone to buy for around $10-. So a picturesque place would be nicer than factories in the back ground in my opinion. Quote

I guess it's important to me as my resto has only gotten where it is because my wife has done some, my eldest son had done heaps and it world only be right for them to be included. Toecutter Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Hi Guys, I thought I'd rehash this one as it's gone a bit quiet. Now as decided we want a one dayer. I spoke to Craig on the phone today and he's gonna speak to Gordon tommorrow re best possible area in Lilydale. Seeing our Vic October meeting has been pushed to Nov 19 (refer to calendar on front page) it has meant our overnight Buller trip has also been pushed due to busy schedules, so we could use this one day event to repalce the overnighter. Anyhow, I don't want to totally hijack the plan Craig and Rev had for this day but how do you guys feel about doing the photo thing in Lilydale perhaps a BBQ or perhaps some lunch nearby at a winery and a cruise after lunch in the area. Hey we might even be able to drive up to the Black Spurr, not sure if it's close enough but an idea!? So it's out there, just some final thoughts as we shall put up a new thread in the Vic events section tommorrow with some sort of set plan. The big question is suppose is an agreed date? Yer, well I have for sometime although I was away for a bit and busy with house stuff. Most of that is out of the way and in the builders hands now so I can focus on car stuff again. re the front page an update on the upcoming meeting would be good. Although with developments today I might have to push that date to the 26th of Nov as I might have to go to Syd for work for a few days so leave the front page update for a couple of days.
