If only I had some more change in my pocket.

Question from the bottom..

Q: Just wondering if this is the original engine in it or if the numbers are matching? THanks Rob 17-Jan-11

A: no the engine number is not matching, the orignal motor is a factoy turbo engine is located in melbourne the owner is unwilling to sell. everything on vehical is matching apart from motor. please ring numbers that are listed if you have any other questions.

The seller must be John from Lansfields cousin, Billy Bob.

Just makes you wonder how many more treasure cache's of Zed are out there.

Ok Just did a Quick Calculation

we have 150 Members on this forum with over 150 post ( so regular) ...  Or 96 donating members plus 3 Mods ( How weird for the site to have  have 99 donating members)

if we did a group buy it would only be $180 bucks each plus freight.

of course all storage can be in lurch's back yard!

Cool, i actually bid on this one last time around. Was going to buy it for a project car, i don't think you will find a complete one of these around in this condition for under $1500 now days.

ROFLMAO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats the cheapest parts car I have ever seen in my life !

Congratulations

I paid more than $10! I got it for $500. What was not listed was that there was most all the small bits from another entire car, bonnet, hatch, diff, crossmember suspension etc. There are five boxes I have not opened yet so no idea what else I got. Lots of trim, which is what I need for my 2 seater. It looks like most of the bits I need are actually loose as parts in boxes!

Oh and when I opened the bonnet, a 1.4m long carpet python! curled up on the inlet manifold under the fuel rail  :o

I have five days off from wednesday so may get to have a better look(after lawns, gutter mesh on to house, attach carbs and tune motorcycle, timing belt on v6 hilux for brother, cv's for mate, ....... ). The first glance shows that it could probably be saved so don't know what the final result for it will be.

well spotted shan, thanks. made him a silly offer and now it is in my yard. sweet!

Lucky - I had placed a bid higher than $500 already.

Don't you just love it when a seller doesn't bother to contact those currently bidding to see if / what they are prepared to pay  :-[

Isn't that against ebay's policies anyway?

One winner and 2 (or more) losers out of that

It was owned by an elderly gent who is terminally ill. Asked me more questions than I asked him ie what my intentions were for his car. It was advertised locally and what tipped the scale in my favour was that I was the only person who contacted him! About time some good fortune went my way.
