Lets see who else is entered and fix a mutually agreeable spot a couple of days out.

Feeling ashamed that I didn't make it to the BBQ 'cause it was (almost) snowing at my place. Looked like a great day was had by all that were brave enough.

Would love to meet up for the trip in to "Classic".

There's 3 days in the entire year that we hope for good weather; 1. Christmas BBQ at Gordo's, 2. Datsun Day, and 3. Classic Japan.... all too much for Melbourne this year to grant us good weather :( As long as hail isn't forecast, I think I'm still in...

Looking at the forcast now, looks as though you guys could have half a day. Depending on how much it dumps down tonight.

I was in Melbourne for the weekend and lucky enough to get there. About 350 cars there covering two paddocks.

A some very nice zeds there.

My_mad_z  What size are the rear wheel on your car? I'm very surprised the rears fit under the guards with so much offset. They look really good.

That white car is so similar to mine! The owner clearly has excellent taste :P

I got down there just as things were wrapping up. It was good to see so many cars (of a very high standard) even with the threat of inclement weather.

Hi Greg,

They're 8.5" with a +4 offset. I've shortened my struts and re positioned the spring perch to get more clearance; I doubt they would fit on a 240Z with standard suspension. Also, my rear wheel arches are off a 260Z so they have a little more clearance... wasn't by choice, at the time of doing the rust repairs, I though I was given a 240Z replacement but as it turned out it was off a 260Z which meant I ended up having to replace the other side as well because he didn't have anymore 240Z's at the time.

Thanks for the info. I'm just deciding on wheels for mine. I have 2 1/2" ID coil overs and my struts will be sectioned. I was gong to go 16x8 with +4. That means my wheels would sit only 6.35mm further in than yours. People say the 8"+4 should fit and not rub, but must be close.

I noticed your front wheels are narrow. What size and offset are they?

No worries. The fronts are Rota RB, 7.5" +20 offset. ROTA have recently added another option of 7.5" +15 offset which would be a better fit for the front of my car but that option wasn't available at the time I bought the wheels. Pretty sure Wayne (A240Z) has 16x8" +4 all round on his Z and it's a nice fit; I can't recall if he's running coil overs or not?
