Richard doing those super fasts,??, and lapping in the over 3 minute mark!!!

You are not as quick as you try to convince everyone you think you are. It shows up on the consistent lap times

 

You want facts? Well fact off on these numbers!

On gearcalc, using RPM at lift off point, just before tip in to Kink, In a four cylinder bluff fronted car, ( Datsun 2000) with no wings/aero, speed is 230-235kph, with lap times of 2.43

The GpS 280 Z was at same speed, but lap times of 2.45 ( heavier car, slower getting out of the corners)

 

The current lap record, for any Datsun Z car, at Bathurst. is held by Wayne Potts, in a 260Z, a Group S car, yes, all pretty standard, stock cheescutter brakes, 6" tyres, at 2.41:6

 

Robertsons 3.2 litre triple carbed, big braked ( a sports sedan) managed a 2.38, but was mostly 2.40's this is not a lap record

I can confirm with good authority that Mr Roberson's motor is a 2900cc L28 (ex Lee Falkner - Wes Engines motor before Lee went down the stroker route)

He whipped us all good with a 2.38 with some decent brakes & aero (inductions same as your old Group Sc car & with Motec)

It's funny how a genuine attempt to discuss circuit driving which was prompted by the TCM crash turns into a wank fest. Where is any mention here of how great/fast/wonderful I am? There isn't, my name is not Jason. All I'm interested in is constructive comment and as usual learning is the main aim eg the Kink at Bathurst. If people are not interested in that then raise something of interest to you, otherwise piss off and don't clutter up the thread with childish wannabe smartarse comment.

I guess this is where I'm supposed to step in, look I just think it's a bit of light hearted fun. Usually any thread with you 2 discussing racing turns into some kind of shit slinging match. Given the way this thread has started it certainly grew legs and started it's own path.

 

Perhaps if you want to chat about racing technique it could be posted in the "Racing your zed" section instead of the "off topic" section like this is... You can't say it didn't say it on the tin. :D
