MATTY Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I'm more partial to the 200ZR atm my self. dunno why maybe the slight rarity of them and the RB might be persuading my judgement?? Quote

road rider Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 (edited) For the 280ZX people out there. Thought this would make an interesting read. http://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au/car_info_datsun_280zx.php I found the figures stated in the section 'why the 2+2' to be very interesting. I always wondered why the 280ZX 2 seater never made it to our shores and the figures in that section of the article explain why. In short the 260Z 2+2 completely outsold the 2 seater version. Go figure!! Edited January 22, 2016 by road rider Quote

EJ101 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) having owned a 2 seater I can tell you that the claim of low to mid 7 litres per 100kms average in that article is not possible...........ever. mine in stock form with 5 speed manual and 3.7 diff would at best do 15 litres/100km around town and about 10 on the open road. the 80 litre tank was fantastic. Often people would ask "what do you get to a tank" I'd reply "about 450km" they'd say "that's bloody good" and then I tell them I have an 80 litre tank and it wouldn't be so good. I loved the fuel gauge. It had a secondary gauge that went from 1/4 full to zero. It was so accurate that you could run down quite low. I often wondered why they just didn't make the main gauge that way and forget about the secondary Edited February 13, 2016 by EJ101 Quote
