  1. I'm not part of the Perth Datsun group so I can't see the photos, but if thats a rust-free 240z chassis thats amazing for 15.9k
  2. Your garage space is sick!
  3. Adam I'm not too sure in Melbourne, but I just did a quick search for you and Lurch (an experienced member on this forum) has recommended the below shop in Melbourne; Blackwell Bodyworks in Pakenham come highly recommended: 19/, 25 Bald Hill Rd Pakenham, VIC, 3810 (03) 5941 6999
  4. I agree with Gav, you've set the Safari Gold and 240z resto quality extremely high. This thing is going to be sweet.
  5. Adam thats really unfortunate. Can you upload some photos for us to see the damage? I'd take it to a chassis straightening shop that has dealt with classic race or rally cars. They've probably seen the worst of it and should give you a more brave response.
  6. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/saddleworth/cars-vans-utes/datsun-260z/1145750096 Bit of a mission to get it from SA to Brisbane but shouldn't be too bad. From the photo's the shell looks okay, but like all Z's, its not without rust.
  7. I don't think you can get one for 55k anymore in Aus. Looking at prices as of late on japanese auction sites, a gtr clone landed and complied one would cost around 80k.
  8. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Skyline-KGC10-GTR-Hakosuka-Clone-/272568321493?hash=item3f765685d5:g:xg4AAOSwSlBYsN4h GTR Clone for sale. Sigh if only I had enough money for one.
  9. I agree, the car looks like its been caked in paint and seeing how these cars rust and how its been modified, I doubt its relatively 'rust free'
  10. Aircobra, is the box large enough to fit a sill panel?
  11. Gav, whats the paint code on this Z432? It appears to be different to all the other orange colours I've seen on z432's and z432R's
  12. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/castlereagh/cars-vans-utes/1976-datsun-260z-coupe/1138481804 $33,000
  13. Mick, measure the bore as well as the stroke to determine the actual displacement. Also take some photos of the piston tops if you want, and we may be able to help you ID what pistons it has based on the bore and stroke combination.
  14. It'll obviously add to the weight, but if its a street driven zed then I think A/C is a must. I used to daily drive an mx5 without A/C (for 5yrs straight), and while it was a fun car to drive, I hated driving it on those 35+ DegC days.
  15. E-Go from my experience is the cheapest option. I've sold wheels and tyres and sent them via e-go for around $60. What quote are you getting with E-Go?
  16. It's hard to tell from the photo but it appears to be a 2 seater. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/bendigo/cars-vans-utes/datsun-coupe/1135091831
  17. The only way to tell is to observe the previously (unsold) listed auctions for that car and make a judgement call based off that. At the end of the day you'll never know the actual figure unless it has been passed, and by that time it will be sold. The simple way to do it, is to just ask the seller, and if they're willing to disclose it, you'll know.
