Hi Alan, I too have just purchased one of those relays. I have used them in plenty of cars over the years and they work well. Have yet to fit it to the S30 but will let you know when I have. They use a common 12V+ supply for both switched circuits and a common ground for both trigger circuits, which could make things interesting in the S30 as I think they have switched negatives for lights ? Let me know if you want a hand, I owe you a favour or two. Cheers PB

Hi The car itself is worth SFA. A running L24E is worth $$ to anyone looking to upgrade an S30 EFI I agree with Gav, about $500 or so seems fair. Cheers PB

Hi Alan Yeah, I tried that in the first case and no joy, even tried direct connecting a spare Tacho and still no joy. This lead me a couple of possible conclusions A. Both the Tachos I had were faulty B. There was something amiss in my cars wiring C. A combination of both the above. My car does have some "interesting" wiring from a previous owner behind the dash so that could well be a factor. I ended up running a separate wire from the coil to the EFI ECU & Tacho, this combined with the modifications to the Tacho got a result for me. Cheers PB

Sounds like your local Nissan dealer is more helpful than those at Hornsby Nissan. Have tried twice for common parts and each time the answer "No Longer Available"

Hi, I would probably just look for a replacement cap with a decent O-ring from a parted out car. Maybe try - a wanted post - calling, Stewie Wilkins, James Flett or Warren at All-Z-Parts Cheers PB

Hi Man that sucks ! The chips around the lug nuts look to me like they were caused by not taking enough care when putting the rattle gun the nuts. The scratches on lips, yes the alignment jig clamps onto that part of the wheel, but if placed carefully and not over tightened should cause damage. In my opinion the problem is not enough care, or as Gav says "cowboys" If the shop is part of a chain, contact head office and lodge a written complaint. Unlikely they will do anything but can't hurt to try. I would also leave appropriate and polite reviews on various social media pages. Cheers PB

Yes you can register ilder LHD cars with minimal dramas. Carpark boom gates and drive through lanes can be a challenge, and don't get me started about trying to overtake anyone. Cheers PB

Hi, Sorry my mistake, I read it that you needed to get the a 280ZX tacho working in a 280ZX. You are battling the issue that I had with my L28E into S30 conversion - E12 electronic ignition won't trigger the S30 tacho. Plenty of sites suggested other solutions "Might" work but I couldn't get a result from them. One of the issues is if you play around to much you can fry the electrics in the tacho. One solution is to source a US 280Z tacho that is designed to work with the E12, but I didn't want to risk buying a gauge on trust from the US. The only solution I went with was to fit a new module into the back of the original S30 tacho. works perfectly and comes with a guarantee Cheers PB

Nice Car, and I suspect will go for somewhat more than $24, that assuming the bidders are real I would also factor in converting it to Manual into the cost and before you know it you would be getting close to $30K for a tidy 2 seater. Not sure about the Brown / Beige combo - not one of my preferred combinations. Will be very interesting to watch.
