  1. I would suggest find another hill close buy with no houses on it. Just to keep the peace. Some times it's just not worth the pain.
  2. So Gareth, would you do it all again in hind sight? And JonU. Gareth gave a thorough answer to your question , which way will you go? I can say having see Gareth's car first hand. It an amazing build that he has under taken. Very thorough surching for all the little nick nacks that make it one of a kind. Show quality presentation . And on the race track it's very competitive . With Gareth's driving skills and quoted hp he is at the top of the time sheets. So it's fare to say it is all show and lots of Go.
  3. Count me in!!
  4. That's a nice story behind the car. Good to see you hung onto it and didant sell it in the down times. Classics are hard to come buy now. Nice work.
  5. I have been reading with interest , at first I was thinking ,Cool I get a year off. But there are lots of guys and girls who look forward to the Xmas BBQ. I agree with all the ideas brought forward. Normally we would have the BBQ the first Saturday of the month, that would be the week after Como Park. But for those who would like to do both I understand there is a bit of travel involved. So putting some of you Guys ideas together we could have VicZed BBQ the day before Como Park . Party on ,have dinner and a sleep over in the back yard. I have three large tents to sleep 20. If the weather is not good the garage is big enough to sleep 20 . There is a toilet and Shower in there. Then fresh eggs and bacon in the morning! Any way im easy. You guys thrash it out, and what will be will be.
  6. I would go with the 18mm standard bars for the road. Spring rates will change the way the car feels on the road. ie stiffness. Sway bars will help with the body roll. But for a road car you won't generate enough corner speed to warrant the bigger bars.

    See you guys there!
  8. Does ant look like to many going this weekend. 95 db might take the socks off.
  9. Good on you for getting back into it. Sometimes you get bit of a run on and go with it. But as far as. Might be a contender for longest zed project title. I think there are guys on here that will never finish.lol.
  10. Yer ,that is the page to look out for. At this stage I will be doing the August 18th sprint at PI.
  11. Go out now and secure your car, make it hard for them!
  12. Did you get the car back, and what was left on it? jUST heard another R31 was stolen last night from eastern subs. R31GTS2.
  13. Mate ,you need to get another pump for carbys. You will have major trouble with a 40psi pump, they are not that expensive .
  14. Yer , as Locky says . I ended up using a hydrolic thread locker from lock tight. The brake fluid was leaking through the thread on the large nut (gold color) as in your picture. Then the little bleed insert goes inside that. And even that has to be super tight to seal. But I think I've got it now. Thanks for the help guys.
  15. Low life scum bags.
  16. Any one going to the Ndsoc BBQ this Sunday . CSA and the Prince guys are invited, looking at 60+ cars if the weather holds out.
  17. Just for the record. Dave is one of the very few on this forum that just gets the job done, as he says , the runs are already on the board. Nun of this 2,3,4 10 year builds with 35 k hits on there build thread. The Rev is wam bam 12 months later he is driving it. So yes he is the real deal. Just my 10 cents worth .
  18. Yer I'm not happy with this set up. Would not go down this path again. Got some new inserts tonight, with hydrolic thread locker and some lock tight primer. Will have to drain the hole set up (braded lines) and start again.
  19. I think your on to it Jason. They are brand new, would have expected a bit more quality than this. Do you know of this happening before? This would explain why I was getting a peddle , but the next day was not as good.
  20. Yer ,have looked at that, fluid seem to be coming up through the thred, not out the bleed hole. Wipe my finger over the top of nipple and is dry, but at seat wipe around the thred there is a small pool of fluid after over night. Might have to buy some new bleed nipples.
  21. Guys ,I've been playing with my new Arozona front disk and calliper set up for a few months now. I cannot get the bleed nipples to seal. Everytime I think it's OK ,I look the next weekend and there is brake fluid around the bleed nipples! I can get a firm peddle but not as good as my old brakes. Have put one and a half litres of fluid through the Callipers . Any one got any tricks to seal the nipple to the calliper . I've never had this problem befor.
  22. So,can anyone tell me if there is another engine builder in Aus that works this hard to get the best results? Over the many years I have been racing and the countless engine rebuilds I have had. They all just pass you the engine over the counter and say , there you go. Good luck with it. Hoping that the exhaust and fuel system are a good match. At least PMC engines walk out the door a tried and tested thing. Another happy costumer. Good job Peter.
  23. Hi Boys, how is it all comming together, when will it be in the car?
  24. Nice photos Shaun. How low was that 280zx!
