  1. I was going to hang on to these a little bit longer, but might as well sell them as I am going with zg flares and wat's. 17x7 inch APEC alloy wheels (ET40). Nice dish. 40mm billet wheel adapters / spacers to give zero offset Nexen N300 tyres with approx. 1000km on them (90% tread) 215/45/17 Can freight fairly cheaply (depot to depot) with e-go. $500 the lot or $450 without the wheel adapters. PM me if interested
  2. I have a spare used one in very good condition. PM me if interested.
  3. I have a set (L and R) of seat runners from my early 260Z that I assume would be the same. You can have them if you want.
  4. This one had me at hello....... Here is the link. There are a few more cool Zed's at this website. http://minds-farm.blogspot.com/2011/01/240z-for-track.html
  5. What are you waiting for? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DATSUN-74-78-260Z-280Z-CARBON-FIBER-TAILIGHT-PANELS-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem45f9c02633QQitemZ300542862899QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Local stuff would be better, esp for larger parts, so go for it Freddy
  6. Bump steer spacers will keep the length of the entire strut assembly closer to the normal length after lowering in an attempt to keep suspension geometry normal and avoid bump steer. Because they are below the spring perch (on the bottom), bump steer spacers have no effect on ride height. Sectioning struts will not change ride height either as the spring perches are not involved, just the strut tube. It is just a way to gain strut travel to avoid bottoming out on lowered cars. Clear as mud ?? :-\
  7. How hard would it be to get rid of the GTO body kit and make it Z again? There is alot of good stuff to go with it......
  8. Much harsher, but if you keep your tyre pressures down it is not too bad. The other thing that will determine ride quality is wheel weight. Lighter is better. Good luck
  9. If you have upgraded to a 280zx distributor, the ignition module may be starting to fail....
  10. I recently fitted the Bride Digo (not type-R) seats with the Bride Digo-S30 rails to my car. Not the cheapest option, but they just fit, i didn't have to make or modify brackets and are awesome seats. They are also japanese, so i guess they are like the watanabe's of the seat world
  11. I have a pair from an early 260Z with rails. In Adelaide.....
  12. Yes, black bonnets and other black highlights (flares, bumpers etc) do look tough. I have been playing a new video game on my PS3 called "Midnight Club, Los Angeles" and I was surprised that the game has early Zeds you get to race against, buy and modify..... One approaches me on the street (in the game) with black doors. I have never seen that before........ Doesn't look too bad.
  13. to me ;D work your magic Peter.......
  14. I will try and be there too. With Classic Adelaide no longer around, we have to get our fix elsewhere.......
  15. You haven't also seen any carbon fibre roof skins?
  16. Didn't these sell? I saw a bid at $900. Why are they still for sale?
  17. A few more.....
  18. Was an excellent day guys !! Thanks to Pete for his expertise and Lurch and his parents for their hospitality. Some pics below.....
  19. Bad news James. I am sure you will find a new zed soon.
  20. He REALLY slams his arse into the bonnet centre. Would definitely leave a dent.......No respect I knew a girl who thought she would be glamorous / funny by laying on the bonnet of my zed one night. I wasn't laughing
  21. I would also ensure the upper strut bearings and tie-rod ends have not had it and are well greased. Adding some negative camber would not be a bad idea. It may help steering effort, but if it doesn't you will still get the cornering benefits......
  22. If its an L28 block with crank, I will take it
  23. Ha ha. Inflation !! This is interesting though. I thought all Nissan dealerships would be equal in there supply......
  24. I have found my receipt - I bought it from Main North Nissan (08) 8309 5000 on the 20th of November, 2009. part number is 22301-N7700. This is for a 280zx distributor. Give them your dist. number in case you have L28e distributor from another car type (ie from skyline, patrol). Total cost was $115.30. They got it in from Japan, if I remember correctly. Hope this helps.
  25. Nissan sells them. Not cheap though. I think i paid around $150 for mine.
