  1. Ah Mossy, it was you. I remember that. Next time MSA say's Concordia, best to tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine..... Yeah, just quietly I think so too :-\
  2. The total purchase price plus postage was $900 and in those charges there is no customs or import tax. I think Concordia is asking for money to do very little ontop of their absurd freight charged from the US. The ACCC should look into this !!
  3. After paying lots of $$ for parts from MSA and then a whopping $341 for shipping, Concordia says that I need to pay additional money to get my package through customs at Melbourne airport. Import Terminal Fee AUD $ 65.00 Import Document Fee AUD $ 15.00 Air Cargo Automation FeeAUD $ 45.00 Airline Handling Fee AUD $ 40.00 Customs Clearance AUD $ 75.00 GST (payable on all local charges) AUD $ 24.00 TOTAL AUD $ 264.00 Has this happened to anyone before? Normally, my parts get delivered to my home, no questions asked and no additional money to be paid. The order was less than $1000 so I assumed this wouldn't happen. This is something to be aware of.
  4. BUMP from me too. I have just bought a new console and will also need these covers.
  5. Thanks for the responses guys. I have completely unplugged the loom and will see how it goes. Easy enough to plug it back in if needed. The rear demister doesn't work, the hazard switch seems to have been replaced with an aftermarket unit in a separate location and AC has been taken out. The only thing I may need are the indicators
  6. Here is a link to a bumplerless zed with no spoilers or body kit. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/nissan-datsun-260z-/120787950667?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1c1f85dc4b
  7. Hi Guys, I am trying to tidy up my under dash electrics. There is this wiring loom that runs along the transmission tunnel on the drivers side horizontally. One of the plugs went to the AC, but there is a bunch of black wires, some cut and all bundled together as shown. This mess all unplugs at 2 plugs near the firewall which then goes to coloured wires. Can I assume that this extension was all for the AC and get rid of it as I have ripped it out or does it have another purpose. Haynes manual hasn't helped. Could it be factory radio wires aswell as AC?? Many thanks.
  8. The quick engine bay "freshen up" just keeps escalating as I have taken the dash out, master cylinders off and also brake and clutch lines. I am getting new lines made up in SS and also having the dash re-skinned through rare spares. The guy said it was one of the worse he has seen. The reason i took the dash out is that I did not want the choke cables and non functioning AC hoses protruding through the firewall. Was also a good time to inspect for hidden problems. Lucky i did as one of the heater hoses was slowly leaking and i found coolant pooling on the floor pan Also, Adam's (acf321) great sales abilities convinced me to ceramic coat the SW headers
  9. Datsunparts llc sells the double block off cover on eBay (high price though). :-\
  10. There was a delay of being able to get these kits and I read somewhere that they were sorting out this door rubber issue. Are these recently purchased kits? If so I am going to steer clear of these. Scotts are meant to fit well.
  11. Whittie, Did you take pics of engine bay and under dash?

    L28T build

Why the flattop pistons for a turbo build Peter?
  13. Good service whittie. I am sure many of us will find these pics useful.
  14. 63 views in less than one day. Obviously auszcar thinks that you are the looker Pete
  15. Well, I finally collected my engine today. :D Twas a long drive....... Pete and I had to do a little bit of celebrating.
  16. Like this one? This is for sale in Aus (ebay)......
  17. Hey John. That would be an option, but that means i would not be picking it up for some time as engine bay still needs to be completed. Plus, i want to collect it in person and drop her in myself. More special this way. No, I am not sure, hehe Once again, big thanks to Pete and his team. Apparently they tried many many different combos to get it just right. Now to make the engine bay worthy of the engine......
  18. Good luck to you guys competing this weekend in Adelaide. Seven zeds is a great number. Go and teach the porsches some manners I will be there watching on.....
  19. Many many thanks for your patience today. I am sure that yourself, Les and Lou would have tuned it better than anyone else in the country !! The hp numbers speak for themselves. I cannot wait to come and collect it......
  20. This is the most expensive zed I have ever seen...... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-Datsun-240Z-Scarab-Rare-Find-/260851169625?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item3cbbf0f959
  21. Nothing worse than a scratched eye !! We have all had one. I went out with a beauty therapist once and she said that the cucumber trick helps with a scratched eye too. Anyone else heard this? Vaseline + cucumber = pimped out eye !!
  22. Well, i have been convinced that painting the brake, clutch and fuel lines black aswell will make the engine bay job look cheap and nasty. I have spent too much $$$ to let that happen, so tonight I decided to go ahead and rub the lines back to make them bling and remove the clamps holding them down to paint around them easier. I also got stuck into preparing the engine bay accessories for paint too. Most will be sprayed silver except the steering rod. Thanks for your constructive feedback guys !
  23. Jamo, i have found one. No payment necesary. PM me a mailing address and i will post it tomorrow. (BTW i can't find the nuts for it, but you could probably pick them up at any hardware very cheaply)
  24. There are those, but also front and rear sets at $95 a pair.
  25. Benny, there is a set on ebay as we speak.
