  1. The 240s were 175 SR 14, which is 175 75 14.
  2. Yeah, definitely bigger than 1.25". According to zcar.com it is 1 and 5/8".
  3. Well, I have decided on the final engine colour scheme which will be body colour blue rocker cover with red socks ( for now ) I liked the red cover, but with red socks it was red overkill.
  4. 260Z's are 195 70 14
  5. I think they aren't too bad, but if you want to keep original I would lose them one day. Are you going to keep the front spoiler as is or replace it or remove it?
  6. The only thing better than a zed, is 2 zeds. I guess your dad will get a really good fathers day gift this year.
  7. What pressure is your fuel?
  8. Looks great. Thanks Mark. I will send the filters off to you tomorrow.
  9. PM not received :-\
  10. Confusion. Chris was referring to the NISSAN OHC rounder one. Still looking for the NISSAN squarer one.
  11. Hey Gareth. What does the S stand for? I thought along these lines too a while ago, and was inspired by this rocker cover. You can buy chromed steel lettering and just place it where you like. This place sells the metal letters. http://www.stickyletters.com.au/
  12. Hey Chris. PM sent......
  13. Awesome Paul. Although not technically rust, do you believe that it is possible to fill a sunroof hole with a metal section?
  14. The squarer 280 one. I think it's more sexy.
  15. Hi Guys, If anyone has one and would be willing to sell, please let me know. Willing to buy or trade for parts. Cheers,
  16. I have been contemplating the engine colour scheme. I love the red rocker cover and blue ram tube look, but wasn't a big fan of red rocker cover with red socks or aqua blue socks that uni filters come in. I wish uni filters came in a royal blue I painted my spare rocker cover blue and tried some different sock combinations for a play around........Still yet to decide. Not solving the worlds problems here, i know. Also I finally installed the CF bonnet. I got it to fit fairly well. The hinge rods DO need to be removed as the carbon flexes too much when opening and closing and there is too much resistance with them. Next is rego and bleed brakes before a decent spin.......
  17. PMC engine on a track. Where is the YouTube clip?
  18. I have one you can have for free. Pm me
  19. The MR2 rears and only for the 240Z sectioned fronts. For the sectioned rears you can either use 240Z front inserts or as I did 240Z rear inserts and cut 25mm off the aluminium spacer at the bottom of the Tokico strut insert. I don't think other brands of 240Z rear inserts have a spacer, so you just use fronts. As for the bump stops, you can use rubber or PU. I used PU from the energy kit.
  20. The Toyota MR2 rear strut insert is a good and well documented option for sectioned 240Z/early 260Z front struts. That's what I am using with Tokico Illuminas on my fronts and on the number 1 setting with King Springs. If you dialed it higher I am certain it will control a stiffer spring like a 6kg/mm spring. Otherwise does BenZed still do the complete system with the shock included?
  21. Yet another option for wheels for your 240Z or 260Z with flares. They have finally made the rota grid in the right size. Too late for me.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROTA-WHEEL-GRID-V-15X9-4X114-3-15-FRSB-COROLLA-AE-86-240Z-CELICA-CRESSIDA-/290762206180?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43b2c72be4&vxp=mtr
  22. Cheers boys..... I cut the ram tubes back by 25mm as recommended by Peter. I did it with a hacksaw holding one side in the vice. I then filed the base of the ram tubes with a file for a smooth finish and then sand paper. It wasn't too nerve racking as I did a small cut, then rotated the ram tube and bit more cutting and continued till all cut. One big cut would have been nerve racking as the hacksaw always wanders. Yes, very thin.
  23. And have also trimmed back the ram tubes to give some extra space for the engine to breathe. Let's get ready to rumble......
  24. A long awaited item finally arrived today from Japan via Otomoto (BenZed). I am really impressed with the finish on this bonnet. It weighs only about 5kg and I will post another pic when on the car.
