  1. Jake, I have had my twin thermos mounted this way (with the zipp tie things) for years and years. Don't worry, they will not vibrate and destroy the radiator. Your mate is frightening you because he is jealous of what you have
  2. Well, that nearly settles it. If I don't get a thumbs up from Dale when he responds, I will go this way for sure. Thanks Greg and Johnny for this !!
  3. PM sent Dale..... Thanks Alex, that is very kind to offer this for me. I will keep this in mind if I go this route. Cheers Wow, I didn't realize this could be done this way. Since 2+2 roof's are easy to find, I may choose to do this. Yes, it was cheap for a complete shell, but i didn't want to be the one to rape and pillage it for it's roof. The car was too good to destroy.
  4. Well usatoaus.com replied....... Price is $275 shipped, which is very reasonable, but it is from there depot in the USA to Melbourne (or Sydney). So, I have to pay for postage from the seller's house to depot (let's say $100 ground shipping), $275 from depot to Melbourne, $50 landing fee in Melbourne, then $100 shipping from Melbourne to Adelaide. Item is only $90. It would take 2-3 months all up and 3 lots of shipping and way too many headaches. Total price landed in Adelaide is $615 which is reasonable, but not worth it. If the guy next door wanted to sell me a roof for $600, I would do it, but not through process above.
  5. That is an option and if I don't find a roof cut in the next month or so, I will give him a buzz. Thanks for this. I just sent them an email. Will update on the outcome.
  6. Yeah, it's all a trade off. I agree 4.1 will be nicer on highways, but 4.3 better for performance. I will let availability determine which ratio I get.
  7. As the title states, I need an LSD with ratio of approx. 4.3. I don't mind if it's a subaru sti diff. Cheers
  8. I know this is a long shot and I wish i lived in the US sometimes ...... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nissan-Datsun-240z-260z-Roof-section-headliner-and-sunviser-/300886351941?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item460e396045&vxp=mtr but, I don't, so if anyone has one or know of one that would be great. Willing to pay good $$$.
  9. Yeah, a couple of people I have spoken to with R200's haven't ever experienced these issues and no one has claimed to on here either. Will just forget about it. Hi Jake, Peter talked me out of a 3.9 also . I have a 3.9 open now and it's not too bad because it's more of a torquey motor because of the cam we have used, but 4.1 or 4.3 would be better. 4.6 may be too much for a street car.
  10. This one has been for sale for quite a while. It's not unreasonable, but the sunroof may turn some people off.
  11. Hi Guys, http://www.betamotorsports.com/benchracing/index.html If you click on this link and select "R200 Handling Issues", there is an article on the R200 and potential handling problems. Has anyone actually experienced this on a race track or street? I am on the hunt for an LSD..... Cheers
  12. Good stuff Mick. See you there !
  13. I am keen on one of the 260z brake boosters. Also do you still have the 280zx rear disks brakes and rotors for sale?
  14. No worries. Yeah, at 7 weeks he's already got his eye on the zed. Great idea. Count me in.
  15. Fun day in the sun guys. Great pic of the zed team. Must do it again next year!
  16. Hi Kieren, It didn't take long for you to join. Welcome. I think by next year you will be at "All Japan Day" with a zed of your own.
  17. 4.4 LSD, Wilwoods How about I send them to you and you try them, and see how you go. If you like the results, you can either have them for $100 or give me your 40mm. If you think you are losing to much top end, send them back. How does that sound?
  18. There is some "give" as the end link can be moved a bit. If you go really wide, can you drill out a new end link hole? The TTT LCA's have 2 holes for this reason.
  19. Yes for 44phh. Not sure on price. Maybe we can trade parts?
  20. I agree. This car wouldn't take too much work to be cool. "Interesting" engine choice.....
  21. Hi Simon, I have 37mm mikuni chokes. Why do you want to go smaller?
  22. I am not going to give a sales pitch on coilovers. Many have them, many don't. Are they necessary? No. Neither are lowered springs or 99% of everything we do to our zeds. I already have sectioned struts so bottoming out is no longer an issue. Adding these is as simple as grinding off the original spring perch and welding the new perch on. I wanted them so that I could have control of total ride height (plus left to right and rear to front) . I couldn't get the car to sit exactly as I wanted it. The other bonus is you select your spring rates!
  23. Hey Gareth. I think they are built very well. The specs on them are here: https://technotoytuning.com/nissan/240z/front-lower-control-arms-240z-260z-280z With regards to weight, the TTT LCA plus ball joint is around 2kg. Not sure what the standard LCA is?
  24. They are not coilovers. How do you adjust the height?
  25. Thanks guys. Nice and clear now
